{1960 Press Conference}

a pic of him from this conference was actually the first photo I ever downloaded of Elvis 🤭 and I just wanna take a moment here to say just how absolutely stunning this man was.

I'm not telling y'all nothing new, I know, lmao but.... the sexiness, the sensualness he had.... he truly had another level of aura that went right down the line to Lisa and her children. Just his name, Elvis Presley, just rolls off the tongue, it was a name meant for a legend.

"For the world, when seen through a little girl's eyes, greatly resembles Paradise."

My sister is making headway through Lisa's book, and this morning we were talking about the saddest parts of it, and how we were both struck by Elvis having this poem up in his bedroom.

The line I put above is my favorite line from it, and just the fact that he loved his little girl so much as to put this poem up on his wall 🥹🩷 it just truly shows what kind of a man, and what kind of father he was.

I know, and I think everyone knows, that Elvis's Paradise was his baby girl. Something that didn't have to do with his career, just someone he could love unconditionally and who loved him unconditionally back. As Elvis said, "Becoming a father is the best thing that's ever happened to me."

He embodied what a true father is, and should be. These two will always have my heart, and also break it because what happened to them was so tragic. They both deserved longer, happier lives, but they will forever live on in what they left behind.

They're singing in heaven now, but I wish so badly they could've gotten the chance to sing together while on Earth 💔 by @presleyssangel

{Blue Hawaii}

there's several movies of elvis's that I really like, but blue hawaii will always have my heart 🥹 I remember watching it as a kid, and thinking it was the most romantic thing I'd ever seen. Also I've gotta say I think this is the prettiest edit I've ever made

The differences between fans from when Elvis was alive and now are few. We still listen to his records, watch his performances, his movies, buy his merchandise, except for one thing.

Those fans were able to see him, to touch him, to speak to him. And for some lucky ones, actually were able to have a relationship/friendship with him.

It's a difficult pill to swallow to know that all the love you feel for him can never and will never be fully expressed, that each time you go to the Graceland gate, you'll never find him there.

The closeness you feel with him, that personal touch that Elvis gives everybody makes you feel that you're so ready, so prepared to see him face to face, it feels as if you've known him all your life, and you're already the best of friends.

And yet, we are paralyzed, wanting with every fiber of our beings to do something that is impossible to do. Our fingertips will forever grasp at him, never to land.

Despite all that, however, we continue to love him, to read about him, to soak in all we can to an unknown end. We remain hopelessly devoted 🤍💫✨ by @presleyssangel
