Proud to be an Oilerette🧡All I can think about is how extremely blessed and lucky I am to know what it’s like to be apart of this team as an oilerette. This sport has given me more than I could put into words, memories, lessons, and most importantly friendships that I know will last a lifetime. These girls aren’t just teammates, they’ll always be my bestfriends. What I’ll miss the most about basketball isn’t getting that steal, or making that shot, it’s the after practice debriefs in the locker room, or jamming out on the way back from a win. These girls mean the world to me, and my heart is so full knowing that I made the best memories with these girls.I’m so grateful to the seniors who came before me and paved the way, and I hope I’ve been able to do the same for the younger players coming up. This sport has taught me to work hard, persevere, and support those around me no matter what. I’m grateful for every coach, teammate, and fan who has been part of this journey. Your encouragement and support have meant the world to me, and I hope I’ve been able to inspire others in the same way I was inspired growing up. Watching Cooper and Dailee play and getting to cheer them on in the student section meant so much to me, I admired them (and still do) like no other.Thank you, basketball, for everything. These years, this team, and these friendships will always hold a special place in my heart. I’m so grateful to have experienced something so hard to say goodbye to.
