Andrew McMahon (@amnthewilderness) is bringing his massive, career-spanning Three Pianos show back for 3 special nights this month, starting this Saturday in Philadelphia, where he’ll perform full sets with all 3 of his bands: @somethingcorporate, @jacksmannequin, and the Wilderness. Chicago and Long Beach, you’re next! 🎹🎹🎹

Before embarking on these shows, Andrew sat down with @brobible’s @brandon.wenerd for an in-depth conversation and a few rounds of rare mezcal at LA speakeasy @oldlightning. They chat about the debut of Three Pianos at Red Rocks last summer, his ever-changing career, surviving cancer, Orange County, the pop punk scene, his advocacy for ticket reform against the secondary market, and so much more! @easyhoney’s fantastic new EP ‘Plaid’ is out today on @thirdbrotherrecords!

@floodmagazine says: “A swift, five-song smattering of surf-rock, basement-indie, and some harmonica licks for good measure, ‘Plaid’ takes the carefree euphoria of summiting a peak and filters it through the melancholy haze of the Dust Bowl. The result is an atmosphere Easy Honey says feels like ‘dust in western North Carolina in March.’”

Go give it a listen! 🍯 by @pressherepr

It’s RELEASE DAY for Charleston, SC-based indie-rockers @easyhoney !

Their rapid-fire 5 song EP “Plaid” is OUT NOW via the newly-formed @thirdbrotherrecords (via @atlanticrecords ’ @10kprojects ).

“Plaid” packs tons of lyrical concepts & musical adventure into short blasts of classic songwriting.

It’s a sampler platter of styles that leaves the listener wanting more, tethered together by their classic song structures & instantly memorable hooks & relatable raucous yet sentimental lyrics about love, wistfulness & life’s big moments.

The tremendous creative power between Easy Honey’s members Selby Austin (vocals, guitar), Darby McGlone (vocals, guitar), Charlie Holt (drums, vocals) & Webster Austin (bass, vocals) is on full display in “Plaid”, & while the quartet is celebrated for their heartfelt, nostalgic sound, this versatile EP finds them deepening their musical exploration with a more refined & expansive approach; reflecting a creative-concept they’ve dubbed “tilting the cone.”

“The cone was the symbol of the last record, how far we went,” says Easy Honey. “We had this idea: What if we just go deeper into different genres & it’ll pull us out of ourselves more but also, in this weird way, cyclically make us more ourselves?

That’s what “Plaid" is about—these songs are all very different, but they all intersect in some way.

Originating at The University of The South: Sewanee over a cooler filled with freshman year college punch, the dynamic of this group is one of their strongest elements, existing with an electricity & a true sense of comradery both on & off stage.

Like so many of their mutual rock heroes, Easy Honey cut their teeth on the road & have built a devoted following of daydreamers and night seekers through extensive touring & sold-out gigs.

No matter if they’re harmonizing next to a beach bonfire or exploring the rhythmic twists of a funky riff on stage (or off – check out their viral “TRAFFIC JAMS” on TikTok), their music inevitably pulls you closer with an open-armed, all-are-welcome spirit!
