A film about the importance of supporting local food and the people behind it feels right at home at the Minnesota State Fair, a celebration of local food, agriculture, and the communities that make it possible.

Stories from a One-Room School is making its Louisiana premiere at the Oscar-Qualifying New Orleans Film Festival this October!

We’re excited to share Louisiana history from the Bayou Paul Colored School with y’all and hope to see you at our New Orleans screening! @lastoftheshrimpers was honored to receive the award for Best Short Documentary at @oxfilm_ms!

This recognition was especially meaningful because the film screened in the home state of our collaborators @brokenarmstudio and @rorydoylephoto.

A huge thank you to everyone at Oxford Film Festival for the recognition and hospitality. We’re grateful to have had the opportunity to share Acy Cooper’s story, along with the stories of so many hardworking Gulf Coast shrimpers, with audiences in Mississippi.

Their stories deserve to be heard, and we’re thankful this film continues to connect with new audiences 🦐 by @pressonproductions

Stories from a One-Room School is making its world premiere at @dentonbff on Sunday, 02/01/2026. We’re honored to share this film in Sheryl’s backyard in Texas with a festival that celebrates the richness of Black storytelling in cinema.

My team and I are deeply grateful for the opportunity to help tell the Grace family’s enduring legacy and the impact of Ms. Amanda Grace at Bayou Paul Colored School. This film exists because of an incredible team, the generosity of the local community, and Sheryl’s vision and commitment to preserving her family’s history while welcoming us into the lives of those touched by Ms. Grace’s legacy.

We can’t wait to share this story with you, and hope you’ll swing by to visit us in Denton!

Our world premiere @neworleansfilmfestival !

What a night. Seeing our film on the big screen here in New Orleans, surrounded by friends, family, and the community that shaped this story, was something we’ll never forget.

We’re so grateful to everyone who came out to support us. It meant the world to share this moment with you.
