One of my favorite humans in the world eloped 🥺 It was the most perfect day I wish I could relive it. That night when I got in bed I went straight to my laptop to make this sneak peek. Then went to sleep with so much gratitude that I get to do this and witness others happiness ✨ by @pressplaymonday

It’s been 20 years since I last used a film camera. I forgot how good it felt to get your photos developed. I miss those days.

I took these at a mindfulness retreat I attended this past Spring. What really sold me to sign up initially was meditation yes but also seeing that I was going to surrender my phone for 7 days. I have an unhealthy relationship with it. And being without it, I was pleased to realize I didn’t miss it one bit. I only found myself wanting to reach for it when I came across something beautiful like a flower or a bird or the sunset. I’m used to taking pictures and videos of everything (thinking it’s for me but sometimes it feels like it’s to share on social media). What a distortion.

There I got to walk around and allow myself to really take the world in. For the first time I understood the meaning of true presence. When I got back home I went to the store and took the route that I’ve taken for decades but this time I noticed so many buildings and homes I’ve never seen before. It hit me to realize how much I’ve been living inside of my mind.

We practiced 2 hours of meditation throughout each day. That pushed me so far out of my comfort zone. Normally “doing nothing” bores me or makes me feel anxious. But after like day 4 I noticed the progress of feeling more at ease. Breathing in/out felt delicious!

The retreat took place at a Buddhist monastery. It was my first time hanging around monks and integrating their practice. I can’t find the words to describe the level of peace and stillness I felt.

What I didn’t expect was the amount of time we spent tending to our individual suffering and the impact it made. It finally clicked how to be with anger, anxiety and sadness without attachment and shame.

My favorite moments were singing together. Cute songs about happiness, health and nature. I cried so many wholesome tears. taken in Deer Park Monastery by @pressplaymonday

RAVE HAVEN 😭🥹 This night was the absolute most memorable day of my life. You guys showed up and out for me. I cried on stage, I cried after and cried when I saw the last 15 seconds of this video. I created this project in November of 2024 when I was coming out of an extremely dark place. I knew I wanted to connect with people, not through just music but personally as well. To make them feel SEEN. To feel the love I have for them, even as an absolute stranger. This show filled my heart beyond its capacity and has stuck with me since. @ravehaven.co & @thelaraver is the best thing to have ever happened to me so far. My gratitude, love and appreciation for everyone behind these collectives will always exist because you’ve given me something so beautiful and have truly helped me launch this project further and further with each performance. I also want to thank each and every one of you who has supported me. Special thanks to the following souls who always show up for me and will always hold a special place in my heart @itsnoava @lyknkey @sylphicrage @hermionee.zzz Love you guys so much! Lastly, I want to give a special shout out to @pressplaymonday for being with me since my first show. You have grown with me and have even started down this same path and I cannot express how lucky, grateful and proud I am of you.
