Dear Kenya, it’s been two weeks and I’m still at a loss for words for how amazing you were. This trip will always hold a very special place in my head and my heart.

To the Kahuria community, thank you for taking us in not just as friends but as family. I remember how nervous I was on the bus ride to Kahuria, but the second I got off the bus I knew I was where I needed to be. I will always hold my connection with the kids very close to my heart. One of my favorite memories was lifting up several kids each day and watching the joy in their faces. Thank you again for the memories that I will always cherish.

To the BEST team, I remember going into the trip only knowing about 5 of yall, now I have 19 new best friends. Thank you for making the long bus rides tolerable, lifting me up when I needed it the most, the late nights filled with laughter, and the meaningful conversations. I’m so glad I got to experience this amazing opportunity with each and every single one of you.

Kenya, Thank you one more time for the countless memories that I will always hold near and dear to my heart. You have truly changed my life.

Asante Kenya. by @prestonfrilot26
