My new single “Car Rides” is out now! You can check it out and listen to the new song here :)
This song is about saying goodbye to your first love and the memory I went into was a really tough day to be honest. But it stands to me as one of the most impactful days of my life. This past year I have been so focused on memories and parts of my life from my young adult life and youth and while it has been rewarding, it hasnt always been easy. Im not sure what tomorrow is going to bring, what direction I will go, but im glad I could have the courage to finish this song and share it with you❤️

Here is a sneak peek of my new song Car Rides🚗❤️
It drops next Friday February 13th! ❤️ #newmusic #indiepop #singersongwriter #newsong #indieartist by @prestonscottstraus

This song is about a memory I never let myself revisit fully til recently. When I was 18, I drove someone I loved to New York City so they could start school. The goodbye, the tears, the heartbreak — all of it lived in that car ride.

Instead of holding pain, I turned the memory into a song. Car Rides is about honoring what was real and finally letting it go.

The song drops February 13th

I firmly believe that God is love, that existence is love, and we are all cared for and born of the same thing so when I think of this song, I guess in some ways I think about how maybe pain or stress can become an identity, And how we can really outsource our happiness through something outside of ourselves and part of that journey is realizing that you were always the source of your happiness, and you were the one who was gonna make your happiness possible. I feel in order to bring that happiness to life you have to really believe that you are loved and really learn who you are. And by learning who you are you unlearn who you are and come to a place with that quiet peace that we all know. I guess that’s really what this song was about. by @prestonscottstraus
