9 years of just me 🤍

Today Im thinking about the girl who decided 9 years ago to take a chance on herself.

She left the salon environment, stepped into the unknown and decided to work for herself. She didn’t have all the answers, she just had a feeling that she was meant to build something of her own.

Nine years later, I realise how much life has happened alongside this little business.
I’ve grown professionally, but I’ve also grown as a person. I’ve learnt lessons I never expected to learn, faced things that have knocked me, said goodbye to people who were once a huge part of my life, and cried tears no one sees behind closed doors

And somehow, through all of that, my business kept growing with me.
Nearly 20 years in this beauty industry, completing my Level 7 in aesthetics, constantly learning and still caring so much about what I do.

I’m not the same girl who started this 9 years ago, and I’m actually really proud of that.
I think sometimes we’re so busy looking at where we’re going that we forget to stop and acknowledge who we’ve had to become and the sacrifices we have had to take to get here.

So today, I’m doing exactly that.

And then there’s you… my clients. 🤍

Over these 9 years, it’s been so much more than appointments. I’ve laughed with you, cried with you, tears of sadness and tears of happiness. We’ve celebrated your milestones, shared your excitement, and sometimes faced heartache together too.

You’ve trusted me with far more than just your treatments. You’ve shared your lives, your stories, your ups and downs, and somehow, over the years, so many of you have become so much more than clients.
So to every single person who has ever walked in my door, trusted me, supported me, recommended me, returned to me and allowed me to be part of your journey , I am more grateful than I could ever put into words. You have helped make this little dream what it is today, and I will never take that for granted. 🤍

9 years. My little business. My biggest leap of faith. And a huge part of who I am.

A little life update... back at the end of april i passed my level 7 in aesthetics 🎓 i know im late to the party... but lifes been busy.

What a journey it's been. Months of studying, assignments, research, late nights, stress and plenty of self-doubt, but I did it!
Balancing a business, clients, family life and coursework is not for the weak, and there were definitely moments when I wondered why I'd signed myself up for it. But achieving this qualification makes every bit of hard work worth it.
This is such a huge milestone for me, and I'm incredibly proud of what I've accomplished.

Not only does it reflect my commitment to
providing the highest standards of care and knowledge for my clients, but it also proves that you're never too busy, to keep learning and growing.
I'd also like to take a moment to celebrate the fact that I never have to look at Harvard Referencing again. Honestly... who even came up with that? 😂

A huge thank you to everyone who supported me, encouraged me, listened to me moan about coursework and assignments, and reminded me that I would eventually get to the end.

Yep… because I LOVE IT 🤍

I genuinely feel so lucky that this is my job. Getting to make people feel more confident, enhancing natural features and seeing that little boost in someone when they look in the mirror never gets old

It’s not just aesthetics to me, I love the creativity, the precision, the learning and, most importantly, the people I get to meet along the way.

CHOOSING THE RIGHT PRACTITIONER MATTERS 🤍

When it comes to aesthetics, don’t choose someone simply because they have the most followers or because they are cheap!

Before booking, ask yourself:

✨ What qualifications and education do they have?
✨ How much experience do they have with the treatment you want?
✨ Are they first-aid trained?
✨ Are they trained to recognise and manage complications?
✨ Do they have appropriate insurance?
✨ Do they have genuine, verified client reviews?
✨ Do they offer proper consultations and aftercare?
✨ Are they honest about the risks, rather than promising unrealistic results?
✨ Do they know when to say “no” to a treatment?

A good practitioner should care about your safety, your anatomy and your individual needs, not just making a sale.
And remember…
The practitioner with 500 followers may be more experienced than the one with 50,000.
Do your research. Ask questions. Look beyond Instagram.

Your face deserves more than a pretty feed. It deserves a safe pair of hands. 🤍
