My experience at Mabungo Cultural Village in Kisoro, Uganda was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warmth, authenticity, and a deep sense of pride in the community’s heritage. This was not just a visit — it was a truly educational and cultural immersion that left a lasting impression on my heart.

The experience was incredibly informative, offering meaningful insight into local traditions, daily life, and ancestral customs. One of the most memorable highlights was participating in a detailed traditional wedding ceremony. Every step was carefully explained, from the cultural significance of the rituals to the roles of family and community. What made it even more special (and unforgettable!) was that I unexpectedly — and playfully — became part of the ceremony myself and “got married,” which brought so much laughter, joy, and connection. It was interactive, respectful, and beautifully done.

A huge and heartfelt thank you to Ingabire Claire and her amazing team for their exceptional professionalism, passion, and dedication. Their commitment to preserving, sharing, and celebrating the culture of the community is truly admirable. You can feel the care and intention behind every detail of the experience.

Mabungo Cultural Village is a must-visit for anyone traveling to Kisoro or seeking an authentic cultural experience in Uganda. It is genuine, enriching, and joy-filled — a powerful reminder of the importance of community, heritage, and storytelling. I had an absolutely wonderful experience at @gorillahighlandscoffee in Uganda! The African coffee was top-notch—rich, flavorful, and a real treat for the taste buds. The food and pastries were equally delightful, making it the perfect spot for a delicious break. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, with great Wi-Fi that made it easy to relax or get some work done. I even picked up a branded hoodie as a souvenir, which I absolutely love. Highly recommend this gem for anyone visiting the area!
