❤️ DID YOU KNOW YOUR LIFE INSURANCE COULD HELP YOU IF YOU DEVELOP A CHRONIC ILLNESS?

A chronic illness is a long-term health condition that may affect your ability to care for yourself or perform everyday activities.

Some examples include:

🧠 Alzheimer’s or Dementia – Severe memory loss requiring supervision.

💙 Parkinson’s Disease – Difficulty moving and performing daily tasks.

🦋 Multiple Sclerosis (MS) – Nerve damage that can affect mobility and independence.

🩸 Diabetes Complications – Severe nerve damage, amputations, or other disabling complications.

❤️ Stroke Complications – Paralysis or loss of independence.

🫁 Advanced Heart or Lung Disease – Serious conditions that limit daily activities.

💰 HOW CAN AN INDEXED UNIVERSAL LIFE (IUL) POLICY HELP?

Certain IUL policies include living benefits that may allow you to access a portion of your life insurance death benefit WHILE YOU’RE STILL ALIVE if you develop a qualifying chronic illness.

To qualify, you generally must be unable to perform at least 2 of these 6 daily activities without substantial assistance:

✅ Bathing

✅ Getting dressed

✅ Eating

✅ Using the bathroom

✅ Moving from a bed to a chair

✅ Controlling bladder or bowel functions

Severe cognitive impairment requiring substantial supervision may also qualify.

🏡 The money could help with:

✔️ Mortgage or rent payments

✔️ Caregivers and home assistance

✔️ Household expenses

✔️ Financial support for your family

✨ Life insurance isn’t just about protecting your family when you’re gone. It can also help protect your financial well-being while you’re living!

📩 Message me to learn how living benefits may work with your life insurance policy.

Benefits depend on the policy and rider. Not every diagnosis qualifies. Medical certification and other requirements apply. Accelerated benefits reduce the death benefit and may affect cash value. by @prettybriandawsb

What if your life insurance could also play a role in your retirement plan?

A PROPERLY, structured indexed universal life policy can build cash value over time. With an uncapped index option, there’s no stated cap on the interest credited through that strategy, though growth is not guaranteed.

Later, you may be able to access the policy’s cash value through loans to supplement Social Security, a 401(k), an IRA, or other retirement savings. When the policy is designed and managed correctly, those loans can generally be received free of federal income tax while the policy stays in force.

The key is the structure: how much you fund it, how long you give it to grow, and how carefully you manage withdrawals and loans. It’s a strategy to review alongside your other retirement plans, based on your goals and budget.

Curious what that could look like for you? Message me and we can walk through a personalized illustration. by @prettybriandawsb

If your parents aren’t going to leave you an inheritance… have the conversation. 🤍

Not every parent has a house, investments, or hundreds of thousands of dollars to pass down.

But that doesn’t mean they can’t leave a financial legacy.

A properly structured life insurance policy can help create something for the next generation while also protecting the family from financial stress when the unexpected happens.

🔑 KEY POINTS:

✨ Death benefits are generally income-tax-free to beneficiaries
⚰️ Helps cover funeral and final expenses
🏡 Can help pay off a mortgage or other debts
💰 Can create an inheritance for children or grandchildren
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Helps protect the family financially
❤️ Creates a legacy even when there aren’t significant assets to leave behind

You don’t have to leave a fortune to leave a legacy.

The important part? Don’t wait until your parents are sick or no longer insurable to have the conversation.

Talk about it while they’re healthy and have options.

“I’m single. I don’t have kids. Why would I need life insurance?”

Because being single doesn’t mean your death would come without a financial cost.

If something happened to you tomorrow, who would be left figuring everything out?

Your mom?
Your dad?
Your siblings?

Funeral and burial expenses.
Final bills.
Debts or obligations they may have to sort through.
Travel or time away from work to handle your affairs.

The people grieving you shouldn’t also have to wonder:

“How are we going to pay for all of this?”

Life insurance isn’t only for married people or parents.

It can be a way of saying:

“If something happens to me, I’ve already made arrangements. I don’t want my family carrying a financial burden while they’re carrying the pain of losing me.”

And there’s another reason to consider coverage while you’re young and healthy: life insurance generally becomes more expensive as you age, and changes in your health can affect what coverage you qualify for—or whether you qualify at all.

You may be single today.

You may not have children today.

But protecting your future—and the people who would be left handling things if you weren’t here—can still matter.

Being independent also means planning for the day your family might have to carry what you leave behind. 🤍

Started thinking about canceling your policy?

Think again.

YOU’RE NOT CANCELING A BILL.
YOU’RE CANCELING PROTECTION.

Before you cancel, ask yourself:

IF I PASSED AWAY TOMORROW,
WOULD MY FAMILY BE FINANCIALLY OKAY?

Who would pay the mortgage or rent?
Who would replace your income?
Who would cover the funeral?
What happens to your debts?
Would your children’s lives change financially?
What happens if you get a terminal illness ?
What happens if you get a critical illness ?

If you can’t work due to having one of the above, your life insurance would kick in and start giving you money while you’re alive!

Because it also has a living benefits!
Not just if you die!

You can always cancel a policy.

BUT YOU MAY NOT ALWAYS BE ABLE TO GET IT BACK.

Your age changes.
Your health can change.
Your insurability can change.
Your cost of coverage can change.

If affordability is the concern, talk to your financial professional first. There may be options to adjust your coverage or premium instead of walking away completely.

Life insurance isn’t about expecting something bad to happen.

IT’S ABOUT PROTECTING THE PEOPLE YOU LOVE IF IT DOES.

Don’t make a permanent decision based on a temporary financial situation. 🤍

🚨 YOU’RE IN YOUR 20s. THINK BEYOND THE NEXT 20–30 YEARS.

Term life insurance can absolutely serve a purpose. It provides coverage for a specific period of time and can be an affordable way to protect yourself during certain stages of life.

But here’s what I want younger people to understand:

If you buy a 20- or 30-year term policy in your 20s, that term could end while you’re still only in your 40s or 50s.

Then what?

You may need to apply for new coverage based on your age and health at that time — and there’s no guarantee your health will be the same.

That’s why I believe young adults should at least understand ALL of their options, including an Indexed Universal Life (IUL) policy.

Depending on how it’s structured, an IUL can offer:

✨ Life insurance protection that can potentially last your lifetime
✨ Cash value accumulation potential tied in part to an index
✨ Living benefits for qualifying critical, chronic, or terminal illnesses
✨ Flexibility as your financial needs change
✨ A death benefit for the people you love

Being young and healthy can be one of your biggest advantages when applying for life insurance.

Don’t choose a policy just because someone told you it’s the only option you need. Understand TERM. Understand IUL. Compare the costs, guarantees, benefits, and risks — then make an informed decision for YOUR future.

📩 Message me and I’ll help you understand the differences.

Policy guarantees depend on the product and sufficient premiums. IUL cash values and credited interest are subject to policy terms, caps/participation rates, charges, and other limitations. Living benefits and eligibility vary by carrier and policy. by @prettybriandawsb

🚨 DON’T WAIT UNTIL YOU’RE SICK TO GET LIFE INSURANCE.

Life insurance is something you qualify for with your health — not just your money.

Today you may be healthy and insurable. Tomorrow, an unexpected diagnosis or serious health condition could change your options, increase your cost, or potentially make you uninsurable.

And remember: life insurance can do more than leave money behind when you pass away.

Depending on the policy and available riders, a Universal Life / Indexed Universal Life policy may provide:

✨ Death benefit protection for your loved ones
✨ Living benefits for qualifying critical, chronic, or terminal illnesses
✨ Cash value accumulation potential
✨ Potential tax advantages when properly structured
✨ Long-term, flexible protection

Don’t wait until you’re sitting in a doctor’s office wishing you had protected yourself and your family sooner.

Get covered while you’re healthy enough to qualify.

Your future health isn’t guaranteed. Your planning can start today.

📩 Message me to explore your life insurance options.

Benefits, riders, eligibility, costs, and availability vary by policy and carrier and are subject to underwriting. Loans and withdrawals may reduce policy values and benefits. by @prettybriandawsb
