🏹 Archery & Outdoors 🎣🌲
🎯 Precision in progress.
🔥 Pretty (bow) is the look. Dead center is the goal.
I don’t really do hobbies casually.

A perfectly reasonable outfit for backyard archery on Halloween 🎃🛡️🏹🎯

I appreciate people who make room for someone new, welcome the questions, and share what they’ve learned. That’s what makes someone want to come back…
…AND how a sport grows. 🏹
@oranco_bowmen members are 🙌🏼.
Big smiles seeing my groupings tighten up today! It’s fun watching what I’m learning show up on the target.

HUGE shoutout to Roland and Rex for being those people today! 🙌🏼 Thank you for the knowledge you were willing to share, the laughs, and making me feel right at home at the range. 🏹

Trying to work on my form. My coaches are mostly concerned about when we’re going back inside for snacks. 🏹🐾

Anyone else practice with this much supervision?

Running errands, raising kids, and flinging arrows. Trying to keep my shots consistent. Somewhere between “I need to run errands” and “I need to shoot,” this became a multipurpose dress.🏹😂

👋🏽 I’m Angela.
🎯Welcome to Pretty Dead Center🫶🏼The name is confident 😏 The archer is under construction. 🤣
It’s all part of the learning curve, right? (see what I did there?)

•••🥎I played D1 softball many moons ago, which my competitive streak remembers more clearly than my body does. 😅 Back then, I hit things people threw at me very well but now learning to shoot a compound bow and missing things that stand perfectly still. 😂🏹
•••🏥I’ve worked in the medical field and now homeschool three kids, (including twins). Add a husband and two dogs, and you’d think I’d appreciate a quiet afternoon. I do. I just spend it interrogating an arrow about why it went left. 😆
•••🎣🥾I’ll happily spend hours fishing (I’d love to try bow fishing!), I always try to take the scenic route on foot, and turn a new hobby into an unofficial degree. Which brings us to the compound bow.
🎯I’m new. I’m hooked. And “one more arrow” has become a wildly unreliable estimate.
🦌Hunting is the eventual goal. I love meeting new people along this journey (if you see me, please say hi!) and right now, I’m falling in love with everything it takes to get there. 💪🏼. That being said, I’m open to recommendations and learning all I can! 🙏🏽

Debated myself about shooting in the rain. 🌧️
The girl with the bow made some solid points. 😆😂🏹

I immediately understood the obsession. 🏹😍
A look back at my 1st time at the range (last week). There’s something about the focus, the draw, and letting it fly. 🤯 Daylight quit before I did.

I’ll be honest… there’s a whole lot of talking in here and I haven’t quite figured out how to edit on here properly. So this will be Backyard Shooting Part 1. I promise there will be more shooting with my bow in Part 2 😆😂🙈
