Alhamdulillah for EVERYTHING!! after 615 hours of chemotherapy, 6 weeklong overnight hospitalizations, 10 immunotherapy infusions, 4 iron infusions, 2 surgeries, 2 echocardiograms, countless EKG’s and blood tests, too many tears to count, over $400,000 in total costs to save my life, and pushing all my mental/physical/emotional limits - i survived a reboot of my entire immune system and beat a double cancer diagnosis: Stage II Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma & Primary Mediastinal B Cell Lymphoma.

if it wasn’t for Allah, my mama @justfatima_713 holding me down day in and day out LITERALLY, my aunts @only1soneshyne & @uma__mahmud being my caretakers, the support of my closest family and real friends it’s no way i would have made it thru. i went thru every emotion and stage of grief you can imagine but one thing i never did was give up! being isolated & hospitalized off and on for almost 5 months isn’t something i ever imagined & i didn’t know what to expect but i knew my only option was to lock in & give this ALL my energy and literally fight for my life. i was blessed to have a great care team at Kelsey Sebold Cancer Center and St Lukes, along with having the financial security to explore every option and some of the best insurance that covered ALL of my treatments & care with no issue. everybody tells me how strong i am but that was literally my ONLY option. i still cry every day just thinking about all i’ve had to get thru to get to this point🥺 i’ll be a cancer survivor for the rest of my life & now it’s on me to advocate on behalf of ALL the other survivors & the ones who unfortunately lost the battle. s/o to my doctors, nurses & all the other providers at Kelsey Sebold/Baylor/St Lukes who played a role in my treatment and recovery. at this point there’s NOTHING i can’t do. & nobody can tell me a mf thang!!! RESPECTFULLY.
