This year, I bet on myself and started writing a new chapter of my own. A little reintroduction, because a lot has changed. I’ve spent most of my career behind the scenes telling other people’s stories. Artists, brands, executives, organizations. Building campaigns, finding the angle and figuring out how to make people care. So, hi. Welcome to the jungle. I’m a music publicist, brand strategist, writer, professional dot connector and lifelong believer that the best career paths rarely make sense in a straight line. Here’s a little bit of how I got here. I’ve spent 22 years in music — From arena tours to mom-and-pop chaos, I’ve cut my teeth across nearly every corner of music, working with artists like Lord Huron, Lucius, Courtney Barnett, The Lone Bellow, Kelsea Ballerini, and my rock roots: Velvet Revolver, Slash, Jane’s Addiction, Black Label Society, and more. I believe good PR should feel personal, strategic, and honest. Not corporate, confusing, or one-size-fits-all. The publicist is watching the door. Live press is never guaranteed. But yes, I will spend the entire show looking for them anyway. Because getting a writer confirmed is only step one. They can still get pulled into another assignment, run late, change plans or simply not show.
