There’s something about birthday mornings that makes you look at life a little differently.

You think about where you’ve been. The things you prayed for that became your everyday life. The unexpected turns that brought you somewhere beautiful. The people who stayed. The lessons you needed. And all the little moments that somehow became the big ones.

Today, I’m grateful for all of it.

For the life behind me, the life I’m living right now, and everything still ahead.

I don’t know what this year will bring, but I’m ready to meet it.

11 years. ❤️

I look at this picture and think about how much life we’ve lived since this night. We’ve grown, we’ve changed, we’ve been through some things, we’ve laughed A LOT, and we’ve built a life together that those two people in this picture could only imagine.

Marriage isn’t always perfect or pretty, but there’s something pretty special about looking over at the person who’s been beside you through all the different seasons and realizing just how far you’ve come together.

I’m proud of us. I’m thankful for this life we’ve built, the memories we’ve made, and all the adventures still ahead of us.

11 years down and fifty-eleven more to go. 🥂

My coffee mug has officially seen every training, every meeting, every PowerPoint, and every “one last announcement.” ☕😂

But honestly? I wouldn’t trade back-to-school season for anything. There’s something special about a fresh start, new ideas, and getting ready to welcome a new group of students. ❤️🍎 🤟🏼

It’s officially August! Which means I can finally shop for school supplies without judgment. 🤭✏️📚

The first thing I look for every single year? A teacher planner. 🗓️

Call me old school, but my entire teacher life lives on that calendar. No digital planner for me. Give me pen and paper all day long. There’s just something so satisfying about writing everything down. 💛💙
