8 years of Tumbbad called for a little art tribute🔥🤍

Had to celebrate this cinematic masterpiece in my own way, so here’s me turning the film into a fan-made movie poster! @sohumshahfilms

It’s time for a little introduction —
Hi, I’m Preeti, the clumsy illustrator behind @barf_collective

Thanks for being here 🤍
Looking forward to sharing art, building this art community, and learning together along the way.

Couldn’t stop thinking about this scene from Howl’s Moving Castle, so I ended up turning my illustration into a little frame-by-frame animation in @procreate dreams 🥹💙.

This movie has such a special place in my heart, and getting to bring a tiny piece of its magic to life in my own way felt SO special. 😭✨

DAY 23 / STARDUST ✨

@peachtober update: I disappeared for a bit, but had to do this prompt 😭

For Stardust, I took inspo from the iconic star scene in Howl’s Moving Castle because that movie deserves all the love. 🥹💙
Had to give this magical little moment my own twist! ✨🌟

Some films deserve to be turned into art 🖼️

Celebrating 8 years of Tumbbad with my own fan-made movie poster. Had so much fun bringing this eerie world to life. ✨🤍

DAY 09 / FLOWERBED 🪻

Van Gogh’s Irises has always been one of those paintings that stays with you 💙🥹 There’s something about his colours, the movement of his brushstrokes and the way he brings life to his paintings that I absolutely adore.

So, for today’s @peachtober prompt, I took a little inspo from this masterpiece and tried recreating some of that magic in my own way. 🎨🌼✨

DAY 08 / STICKER 🌸

For this one, I went with something we’ve all probably needed at some point -the pimple patch

I also stepped out of my usual comfort zone with this one and played around with different skin tones and colour combinations. Been wanting to experiment with this for a while, did it for @peachtober

DAY 06 / PLUM 💜

Okay… I’m starting to feel a little guilty about making another food illustration. 😂🥹 But Plum was right there, and somehow my brain went straight to a cute little plum cake. 🍰💜
At this point, @peachtober is just becoming an excuse to draw food and I’m not even mad about it. 😭✨

DAY 05 / CINNAMON 🍥

Food illustrations have always been my favourite to make🥹✨ Naturally, I had to turn @peachtober Cinnamon into a gooey little cinnamon bun warm, swirly and slightly too cute to eat 🫶🏻

DAY 04 / SPELL 👻

@peachtober said “Spell” and my desi brain immediately went: jaddu-tona 😭🧿 So I went down the rabbit hole of old-school voodoo dolls, spells and all things slightly spooky and ended up making my own cute little jaddu-tona doll 🎀
Not sure what spell this person is casting, but pretty sure it’s something cute ✨
