I finally tackled the inking of the eyes. It has really brought life to the owl and the whole piece honestly. I am loving how it is all coming together now.

Dragonfly dance rapidly progressing. Playing with layers and ombre watercolour effects. The wings are also really taking shape and beginning to sparkle with colour

Still engrossed in thousands of tiny dots which come together to both make detailed mandalas and soothe my soul. The fox work is coming along slowly and steadily.

Slow and steady progress on the little fox drawing. I have incorporated a mandala and I had forgotten how much I adore the process. I am using a .003 nib so all of the stippling is taking a long time and I am enjoying the journey.

Sometimes progress looks like working through so many options, fine tuning them all until it looks like you anticipated, then looking through critical eyes and starting fresh with an element because you see it isn't "right".

Art is not a linear process and it is one of the things I love (after it drives me bonkers haha).

The fox is coming along with slow and steady progress. I haven't had to work this hard for an artwork for quite a long time but I am falling more in love with it each day.

Slow and steady progress on the Fox artwork. One of my favourite elements of my art practice is in the details, building the depth by adding many layers of shading. The more time I spend applying the layers, the more they start to pop and come to life.

After quite a while wrestling with 3 different artworks, this little fox is progressing.
I have never had to rework one design so much. The amount of hours invested into fine tuning this piece is wild compared to the slow and steady progress being made.
I am finally turning the corner and anticipate being happy as it comes together more, I will share updates with you all as I go.

Sometimes when my hands need to be busy but my creative mind is stuck (currently on my third artwork)... I like to customise my clothes.

I taught myself how to do sashiko a while ago and I love how versatile it is and how creative I can get with it.
I thought I'd share my current creation.
