2024 launched my first opportunity to work on Sister Bay Fall Fest, and as we head into Fall Fest 2026 this weekend, it’s still one of my favorite projects. Mixed wood type letterforms, block print textures, unexpected lockups, and a wild-but-functional color palette all work together to represent the funky, friendly, midwestern vibe that makes the event what it is. There were a ton of applications that made room for a big graphics package. And we built a hundred little details for the poster and swag. Fun stuff. Thanks to @epedd47 and @sisterbaydoorco for bringing me in every year to collaborate. FF 2025 and 26 work to come. I would love to work on more projects like this. My inbox is open. #fallfest #sisterbaywisconsin #festivaldesign #branding #midwest by @previsdesign

The nerdiest design post you’ll see all day! I’ve always been a sucker for a good pencil and sketchbook. My newest gear set (inspired by the great @made.by.james ) is a real winner. Having nice materials and tools has always made me WANT to sketch. Which is a reason enough for the investment. Gear list below. Mechanical Pencil: The Rotring 800 0.5 mm Pens: Black fine-liners: Sakura Pigma Micron 6 pack Color: Bianyo classic series alcohol markers. Sketchbook: Artway A3 Portrait Sketch Book Ruler: Pacific Arc 6” stainless steel Square: Old-ass, rusted, brandless, carpenter square from my dad #Sketching #artway #logosketch #handmade #paperandpencil by @previsdesign

A few samples I did for a camp put on by my friends at the Rick Larsen Wrestling Club. I attribute a lot of the success in my career to this sport and the coaches I had in this very club. It’s always a pleasure to do work for an organization that has given so much to me. Shoutout to @jen.sobko for the spell checking on this project 😉 #wrestling #wrestlinglogo #wrestlingbadge #logodesigner #graphicdesign #wrestler #wrestlingcamp #badgedesign #wrestlingbadge by @previsdesign
Spent some time up north over the weekend. This little sketch is what came out of my head as I stared into the Wisconsin woods. #graphicdesign #logodesigner #woods by @previsdesign
Found this old patch as I was cleaning the office today. The official patch for the Previs Golf Outing of 2019. I did about 6 of these things, and they were always a reminder that seeing your work in the real world is half the fun of this gig. Looking at this now I see that I must have been finding inspiration in some old-timer beer patches. Pretty cool. Simple design. A nod to the Busch and Bud that flows during these events, with a little hidden golf ball on a tee in the tab. The bottom text is initials honoring the family we’ve lost. Cheers to the Previs Golf outing, and the hope that it returns in all its glory! #patchdesign #graphicdesign #badgedesign #graphicdesigner #logodesigner #golfouting by @previsdesign
The garage project to take a break from all the computer projects. #checkitout #nevernotworking #inthegarage #milwaukee #designsign by @previsdesign
Matchpoint Studios, the hardest working video production studio in the game, needed a new name, logo, and brand to match their level of quality work. I led the logo design and brand creative direction on the project. The logo mark is a simplified block M built from the shape of a camera frame. The wordmark is using the ultra-wide sans serif Termina to form a sturdy and ultra-legible lockup. MatchPoint wanted to feel premium but approachable so we chose a bright gold to lead the brand palette, supported by a deep teal color to give a sense of quality when paired together. And with the CEO and founder being a Purdue grad, this gives him a nice nod to his roots in the face of his brand. Boiler up! Always a blast to work on a project with a friend! Shoutout to T-Mose! A former colleague reached out for help building his namesake brand that specializes in research and forecasting for the US truckload market. The design brief asked for the logo to represent a sense of the data they work with, which often takes shape as line graphs with peaks and valleys. But the interesting challenge was the ask to also somehow incorporate a hedgehog as a nod to an old parable that speaks to the foundations of the company. In the end, we landed on a simple form that serves as the basis for a memorable and expansive graphic device for patterns and layouts. And, while subtle, I think the hedgehog still comes through! Let me know what you think. #logo #logodesigner #graphicdesign #brandidentity #branding #branddesign #logodesign by @previsdesign
