In the heart of Lapalala Wilderness, we found the thrill of the wild. 🌅Looking forward to doing it again.

The second half of 2024 got off to a great start with a little safari getaway to Madikwe Game Reserve. Big thanks to @impodimogamelodge for taking care of us for our stay and giving us a one of a kind experience. Feeling rejuvenated!⚡️

Noka Camp felt like stepping into a dream that I wasn’t prepared for — with the most breathtaking view from our lodge suspended above the cliff overlooking the Palala river. Waking up to misty valleys, golden sunsets, and the kind of stillness that stays with you long after being back in the city. 🌅

Truly one of the most unforgettable experiences! Thanks to @bushscapestravel and @lepogolodges for putting it all together and giving us the best lodge experience yet! 🙏🏽

Enjoy these moments that I captured throughout our stay. What’s your favourite slide? Mine has to be the one where I captured a shooting star. 💫 🤌🏽

I’m a photographer, of course I am going to have cameras at my wedding to test your composition. 😁 by @preyan.naidoo

Did I nail the shot? 😮‍💨🤔💥

Festivals have become my playground for capturing moments that speak to us. It’s been a lot of fun trying to compose shots while squeezing my way through crowds of people, and sometimes finding myself right next to the speakers with my ears about to bleed. (Make sure you’ve got your earplugs, friends 😅).

I’ve always gravitated more towards house festivals, especially since I’ve been a fan of Afro House for so long. I really admire the producers and DJs who create the magic behind the decks.

But when I’m there with my camera, I find myself zoning out from everything around me, constantly looking for that moment I want to capture through my lens. The camera gives me a sense of peace and, in a way, has become my superpower. When I have it with me, I feel completely in my element.

Nowadays, even when I’m attending an event and not shooting, there’s always a part of me wishing I had brought my camera along.

I’ve also found myself really enjoying the editing process—taking a moment and transforming it into something dynamic and vibrant, where the colours, movement and energy all add to the story.

I’m looking forward to transforming the next set of images and continuing to push myself to improve with every festival I shoot.

Here’s to the next one. 📸 by @preyan.naidoo

Proud to be doing what gets me fired up in the mornings and loving all the moments that define the direction where life is heading.

Best time of year when a new season kicks in. Looking forward to spring. 🍃🌿 by @preyan.naidoo

A little ASMR sauce for the coffee lovers. ☕️ Ever since I got the @breville Barista Express Espresso machine, it’s been my goal to make the perfect cup for anyone that comes home to visit. It’s been fun trying out different beans and testing out my latte art which is a solid D- at the moment. 🙆🏽‍♂️ Weirdly enough I have noticed how similar making coffee is to photography when it comes to problem solving, attention to detail and focusing on the factors you have control over. Keen to see how good I can perfect different recipes with some more practice.

Let me know if you would like to see some cinematic coffee content? 👨🏽‍🍳🤌🏽 by @preyan.naidoo

Trying to get more in tune with different focal lengths and how far I can push my creativity during my shoots. I decided to only carry the Sony 50mm 1.2 GM lens for @realbalconymixafrica and damn… this lens is a cheat code for real!! 😤😮‍💨 Sharp, clean, and such a sweet focal length even though it’s not my favourite lens for events. What I like about 50mm is how natural it feels while still giving you enough compression and separation to make your subject stand out. It’s perfect for those candid moments, tighter portraits, and details while still keeping a sense of the atmosphere which I enjoyed capturing. by @preyan.naidoo

Some BTS from @kunyerecords in Kenya and having fun with the @dji Action Pro 6 and @smallrig.global chest mount. It’s going to be my new favourite toy whenever I want to share some moments on the road.

Let me know if you want to see more BTS style content? by @preyan.naidoo
