We’ve known each other since 7th grade, which basically means you’ve had front-row seats to every version of me the amazing, the good, the bad, the dramatic, the questionable… and somehow you’re still here. 🫠

Ours has always been a proper love-hate relationship. Some days you’re my favourite person, some days I genuinely wonder how I’ve tolerated you for this long. You are, quite comfortably, the best and worst person I know. 😌

Tu bole glass aadha khaali, main bolun aadha bhara aur phir hum dono 20 minute iss baat pe lad lein kyonki last me sahi toh main hi hoti hoon. 😂
Maybe that’s us in a nutshell complete opposites, equally stubborn, and somehow always on the same team.

Teko har phase mein dekha hai… and you’ve just… let me put it this way refused to change. 🫣

But jokes apart, it’s actually wonderful to see the person you’ve become. The best husband (@darshnavelani 😋😋😋 offline goss) 😌 an amazing father, a super brother, a responsible son, Miru’s favourite uncle, a solid professional… and oh haan, a great friend too. Wink wink. 😂

Somewhere between school, growing up, careers, chaos and life happening… you ve been family.

And now watching our Miru and Theia be friends is probably one of the most beautiful full-circle moments ever. What started as two stupid school kids irritating each other has somehow turned into this extended family we’ve built and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

You’ve seen me through every phase, every high, every mess, every reinvention. You’re still one of my first calls, my go-to person, my safe space, and unfortunately, someone who knows way too much about me. 😂 (which is also dangerous 🤣🤣)

Some people slowly become important. You somehow just became essential.

You’re my go-to for everything work chaos, life chaos, unnecessary overthinking, very necessary goss, genz updates and those “Brother, I have a situation” calls where you say pehele Hello bol... that usually begin with one problem and end with us discussing five other things but the problem.

You’re insanely talented, fiercely driven, deeply warm, and somehow also everyone’s favourite person. Which is lovely for you. Slightly irritating for the rest of us who would prefer exclusive access.

What I admire most about you is the kind of strength you carry. Life can make people hard, but somehow yours has only made you stronger without taking away your softness. You’re resilient without being cold, sharp without losing warmth, and powerful without ever needing to announce it.

You show up. For your people. Fully. And that is rare.

And somewhere between the rants, the laughs, the plans, the problem-solving, the chaos and some truly elite gossip… you became family.

My go-to person. My problem-solver. My “Brother, please handle this before I say something unnecessary” emergency contact.

But more than all of that, you’ve become one of those people whose presence makes life feel a little lighter and a lot more held.

And that is not something I take for granted.

I hope you always know how deeply loved you are, not just for everything you do, or everything you manage, or the million roles you play so effortlessly… but simply for who you are.

I’m very, very lucky to be a part of your armoury.
And haan bas yahi dua hai ki aapki tvacha se apki umar ka pata na chale.

This year felt a little extra special. ❤️

We celebrated Bappa in the same pincode where I grew up.

Same lanes. Same familiar feeling. Just a whole new set of memories being added to the old ones.

There were friends ,family, endless banter, plates that were never really empty, loud conversations, louder laughter and that beautiful festive energy that somehow makes a house feel fuller than it already is.

Maybe that’s what made it so special.

Coming back to where so much of me began… and celebrating Bappa there, surrounded by people I love.

Watching Miraya talk about Lord Rama reminds me that culture isn't just something we celebrate on festivals it's something we live, share, and pass on every single day.

Every story becomes a lesson. Every tradition becomes a memory. Every conversation plants a value that stays for life.

Because when children grow up connected to their roots, they don't just learn about the past—they carry its wisdom into the future.

Watching the two of you together is one of the greatest joys of my life.
You carry a kind of energy that refuses to stay tired. No matter how demanding work gets or how long the day has been, you walk through the door and instantly become Miraya's jungle gym, race car, climbing wall, dance partner, and favourite person... oh sorry that's me but ya rest of it.

You make her fearless in ways I probably never could. Every stunt that gives me a mini heart attack somehow becomes another lesson in courage because she knows Papa is there.

Thank you for working so hard so we can dream bigger, travel farther, and build the life we always imagined. But even more than that, thank you for never letting work steal your laughter, your presence, or your childlike spirit.

You're teaching our daughter that strength can be gentle, that men can be playful, affectionate, patient, and emotionally present. And that's a gift that will stay with her forever.

They say children don't remember every toy they got, but they always remember how their parents made them feel.
Miraya will grow up remembering that her father was the loudest cheerleader, the safest landing spot, the strongest shoulders, and the warmest hug.
And I will always be grateful that I get to watch the love of my life become the love of my daughter's life.

Children truly learn what they live around. 🌸✨

Miraya picking up shlokas at 3 is less about “teaching” and more about watching nani pray everyday, hearing chants around the house, and growing up around little traditions filled with love. 🤍

As we teach her discipline, kindness and values, we also hope to teach her to respect not just our culture and traditions… but every culture, every belief and every human with love and openness. 🌍✨

Because roots are important… but so is learning to embrace the world with empathy. 🧿
