“I get to run, I love to run “ @iamkirstenferguson has drilled this into me and it’s definitely a mantra.

I know running is a trend right now, but here’s why it’s actually good for you (as tolerated).

Health is wealth, you don’t need to run a marathon just start somewhere. Walking also is even better, 30 minutes a day is all you need🙏🏾

Comment below running tips and your journey with fitness 👇🏾

Let’s talk about how much it REALLY costs to attend a Nigerian wedding…in Nigeria.

Because nobody warned me… 😭

From outfits to flights, hair, gifts, and everything in between — attending a Nigerian wedding is an EXPERIENCE (and yes… an investment 😂)

But would I do it again? 1000% 💃🏾✨
Watch till the end for the full breakdown 👀

And tell me… was it worth it?!

In honor of Women’s history month, The Bride price just went up again….your girl got another degree🤭. I’m excited to share I completed a second Masters/Post Graduate program and passed my Certification as a Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. Your girl is now double board certified in Family Medicine and Psychiatry.

All glory to our good God who is always so faithful. I thank God everyday for his mercy upon my life. Having done acute care as an RN and traveling across the country as a travel nurse in multiple specialties to transitioning as a Provider and also doing acute care, I thought my next step was becoming an Acute Care NP and hospital medicine. But man proposes, God disposes. I gradually realized acute care was not indeed my next mission and I decided to step into what I felt led to and that was the field of mental health.

As a clinician and someone who survived working in healthcare during the Pandemic, I’ve realized we all got “issues”. The issues are not necessarily the problem it’s what we do about them. Some choose vices, others develop hobbies, and for others intervention may come too late. This field has taught me a lot and I am looking forward to my next adventure.

“You don’t need anyone’s permission to want more. That is not greed that is ambition” - @slaygrlslay .

Not everybody sees the work behind the scenes, you do. Discipline in the waiting period is what gets you through the journey.

The prize isn’t in the arrival, it’s in the process. Trust yourself.

“Some of y’all are focused on the finish line but you haven’t done the work yet. You have to wait and have to work.”- @iamkirstenferguson

According to Google, Less than 1% of the world’s population has ever completed a marathon. Feels good to say I’ve done this, the training was the best part.

I don’t know what you’re training for, or what your journey entails but this is your reminder to keep pruning, keep showing up, keep trying and take breaks when you need to.

Whatever it is that’s been placed on your heart; that vision, the project, that goal, that career, the process is the hardest part but it can also be enjoyable. 🫶🏾
