Reclaiming personhood 🫂

We’re thrilled to welcome Brianna Price (@priceofbrie) to the Vancouver International Women’s Day March!

Brianna (she/her) is the Accessibility Coordinator at the Simon Fraser Student Society and a multidisciplinary artist, game designer, poet, and performer focused on trans and disability justice. She works with the SFU Disability and Neurodiversity Alliance to support students, and her creative work explores community, resistance, and liberation.

Through her advocacy and art, Brianna centres solidarity, gender freedom, and collective care. She joins IWD to uplift trans voices and call for justice for all.

Join us at the march to hear from Brianna and our other inspiring speakers!

A series of photos of me, from 2014-2023.

Today is the tenth anniversary of the day I started estrogen, and I'm reflecting on the past ten years. At 17, I never could have understood what my life would be like now, nor could I have predicted the world around me. I was deeply depressed at that age, and transition helped me grow and change into a person I am proud to be today.

Now, ten years later, youth gender transition is the scapegoat of the right, which preaches "protecting the children" as they lax child labour laws in their home countries, reinforce familial abuse and support the slaughtering of children in Gaza. Many progressives are willing to give up on youth transition as something we should fight for. I am not. And even a world apart from the version of me that I was at 17, I am grateful for her for being willing to fight for who she was. 18 year old Brianna smiling in front of a fireplace with curled brown hair and a silky pink dress. by @priceofbrie

Had the best time yesterday!! @myosoto organized the most fantastic whimsical birthday party a girl could ask for.
