A YEAR LATER… 🎥✨

Looking back at my six-month Industrial Training at NTA Channel 5 Abuja, I can honestly say it was more than just an academic requirement. It was an experience that gave me the opportunity to step into the world of broadcasting and discover just how much I could do.

From the very beginning, I was exposed to the Programs Department, where I learned about studio operations, vMix, camera switching, production planning, and the behind-the-scenes work that brings a television programme together.

As the months went by, I moved from simply observing to actively participating.

I learned and practiced directing, assisted during live productions, worked with editors, explored post-production, wrote scripts, researched programme content, prepared materials for United Nations Days, and recorded voice-overs.

And then came some of the moments I will never forget — getting in front of the camera. 🎙️

I had the opportunity to take the link for Young Hearts on several Thursdays and anchor the Fashion Style segment, sometimes by myself and sometimes alongside my colleague, Chidera.

Those moments challenged me to bring together everything I had been learning about communication, confidence, delivery, and presentation.

I also participated in production meetings, assisted with programme planning, collected guest information, took minutes during meetings, monitored editing progress, and followed up with the relevant team for programme previews and approval.

At one point, I was even given the opportunity to serve as a producer for a day — choosing a topic, inviting guests, and coordinating the production process.

Later in my training, I also had the opportunity to assist in supervising other trainees during productions.

Looking back, I realise that the greatest part of the experience wasn't just learning how to operate equipment or produce television content.

It was learning how all the different parts of a media organisation work together.

To be continued… 🤍🤎

PART 2

I learned that broadcasting requires more than talent. It requires discipline, preparation, teamwork, attention to detail, quick thinking, adaptability, and the abilit by @pricy_pmedia

I stumbled on this video on TikTok, and for a moment, I found myself reliving this experience. 🤎

This was me, a year ago, serving as an Evaluator at a Toastmasters meeting. I had never shared this moment here on Instagram, but seeing it again reminded me of how much every experience contributes to our growth.

One thing I have come to appreciate about evaluation is that it is not about criticising a speaker. It is about observing, recognising strengths, identifying areas for improvement and offering constructive feedback that helps someone become better in their next speech.

Through the different roles I have had the opportunity to serve in Toastmasters, the trainings, speeches, evaluations and countless learning experiences, I have gained valuable lessons that continue to shape me as a communicator.

Looking back, I realise that growth doesn't always announce itself. Sometimes, it is in the experiences we gather, the responsibilities we take on, the feedback we receive and the courage to keep showing up.

A little reminder to myself that growth is possible. Keep learning. Keep serving. Keep speaking. Keep becoming. 🎤

DAY 2 | NOVEMBER 2
MY ROOTS & FAMILY

Every story has a beginning, and today, I'm taking you a little closer to mine.

Obviously, I'm female! 🤭😊

I'm proudly from Akwa Ibom State, Uyo LGA and I'm the first child and first daughter in a family of five.

Being the first daughter comes with its own responsibilities, lessons, expectations and experiences. In many ways, it has shaped the person I am today: responsible, resilient, intentional and always learning.

Family is a significant part of my story, and my roots are an important part of what makes me who I am.

Tomorrow, let's get a little more personal! 🤎 by @pricy_pmedia

For the past few months, I've noticed something interesting while navigating Instagram.

Some people who follow me or whose pages I visit have no bio. And honestly, that sometimes makes me skeptical about following back because I don't know who they are, what they do or what their page represents.

It got me thinking about how important our bios are in communicating our presence online.

Recently, while refining my own bio, I started studying the profiles of people whose work and positioning I admire. I learnt that you can study someone's approach without copying their identity.

There are people already doing amazing things in the areas you aspire to grow in. Let their journeys serve as mirrors, lights and ladders, but don't lose your own identity in the process.

Beyond having followers, think about building a community. People who connect with your message, learn from your experiences, grow alongside you, and from whom you also get to learn.

Your bio introduces you. Your content reinforces your message. Your consistency builds connection.

So, if I visit your page today, will I understand why I should follow you?

P.S. If you need help positioning yourself and communicating your value through your bio, I offer personalised bio positioning support. Send me a DM with the word BIO.

Failure does not automatically produce growth.

Failure is not a death sentence. It can be an access point to growth.

Failure does not automatically produce growth. Growth happens when you become intentional about what the experience is teaching you and translate those lessons into action.

### 1. The access failure gives you

I can identify five important things in what you've described:

1. **Access to reflection:** Failure gives you an opportunity to pause, revisit your decisions, examine your approach, and consider what went wrong.

2. **Access to awareness:** You begin to recognise things you might not have noticed before. Your weaknesses, gaps, assumptions, preparation, and areas that require development become clearer.

3. **Access to acknowledgement:** You learn to take responsibility for what happened instead of avoiding it, making excuses, or shifting blame.

4. **Access to learning:** You discover new information, approaches, possibilities, and perspectives. You begin to understand what you didn't know before.

5. **Access to growth:** You take what you've learned and put it into practice. You adjust, improve, develop capacity, and execute differently.
