Last night at @theyardcoventry , we sat down with reps from @westmidlandspolice, Remedi, @sempersecurityservices @unityincov and Coventry Pride for a powerful, honest and genuinely collaborative conversation about Hate Crime Awareness Week.

Together, we explored what a hate crime is, how people can report it safely, and how we can strengthen the way we communicate after a report is made — making sure people feel informed, supported and never left in the dark.

🎙️ We recorded the whole discussion as a podcast episode, coming very soon.

It’s all about partnership, clarity and making Coventry a safer, more confident place for everyone.

Join us for welcoming and open coffee morning as we wrap up Hate Crime Awareness Week!

As Hate Crime Awareness Week draws to a close, we’re gathering over coffee for a relaxed, heartfelt chat with Unity in Cov , Coventry Pride!

The Lord Mayor will also be in attendance to give a chance to come together, share, and celebrate the community that lifts each other up! ❤️

And there’s a real treat in store: the wonderful Unity in Coventry choir will be performing for you all to enjoy!

Last night we launched a series of events for Hate Crime Awareness Week. We wanted to tell the stories of those who have been victims of crime and create a safe space for people to share their experiences, but also, explore how we can work together to tackle it.

Thanks to the wonderful @outincov choir who kicked us off (and who have provided the audio for this reel) and to @theyardcoventry who are hosting the (very homemade arts and crafts style) display.

We’d love to invite you all to come and share your stories and read others all week. We’ll be back on Wednesday, where we will be recording a podcast about the week. by @pridecov

Unity in Coventry and Coventry Pride are proud to announce the Launch Night for our Hate Crime Awareness Week programming!

We will be joined by a number of guests across the evening as part of an open mic night, hosted by Tom Barnwell at The Yard, Coventry.

There will be an opportunity for those who wish to share their lived experiences of dealing with hate crime to share in an open and comfortable space.

We cannot wait to launch this week off with you all and shine a light on rising levels of hate crime towards the LGBTQIA+ community.

‼️ Hate Crime Awareness Week is approaching! ‼️

Next week, 12th-18th October, Unity in Coventry and Coventry Pride are partnering to raise awareness around the rising levels of Hate Crime towards the LGBTQIA+ community. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

We cannot do this without you though, and we are asking people to send in their lived experiences of dealing with or facing hate crime themselves.

Another lovely day at the @ntcoventrycharterhouse for the River Festival. Lots of colouring, chatting and chuckles. Thanks to everyone who visited our stall today, we can’t wait to see all the seeds turn into flowers next year! by @pridecov
