9 years in F&B.

From building Papasan, spending years growing something I once thought would be my whole journey… to leaving, starting over, and suddenly becoming a beginner again.

That part wasn’t easy.

When I started SUCA, coffee was a totally new world to me. New knowledge, new people, new community. So many things I didn’t know. After 9 years in F&B, I thought I knew quite a lot 😂 but somehow I was back to learning from zero again.

And that’s where KIS came into my journey.

They didn’t just supply us coffee beans. They shared knowledge, introduced us to people, helped us understand coffee, and most importantly, generously saw something in SUCA when we were still trying to find our own direction.

Today, being invited to KIS Coffee’s 2nd roastery opening and having SUCA there serving our own specially curated drinks to their community really means something to me.

Even better, every drink sold contributes to the I’M NOT A BARISTA Global Charity Cupping campaign, supporting farming education for young coffee farmers in East Java. 🌱

I came into this new chapter a little lost.

But sometimes starting from zero is exactly what you need.

New business.
New skills.
New people.
New community.
And slowly, a new direction.

Seeing KIS grow into this new roastery makes me proud to have witnessed part of their journey — and grateful that they allowed SUCA to grow alongside them too.

After 9 years, I’m still learning.

And maybe that’s the best part of starting again. ☕️

Thank you @fumeforall for all the effort to bring @diadora.malaysia to @suca.urbansipmy , the vibe to this community is everything we need, i can still remember talking to my friends about hosting a social morning run and it amazingly came true, its just like a wish come true 😎 I thought there won’t be a lot of attendees, but this morning we are overwhelmed with more than 100 pax 🥹 I can hardly find any words to appreciate this, i hope there’s more excitement coming ahead. Thank you everyone in Suca, @fumeforall @diadora.malaysia @dilarangmengopi and everyone of you who make it this early 💙 taken in Suca Urban Sip Corner by @pridestar

We build trust through coffee and shared meals.

In Malaysia, working to earn money we say “cari makan” which means earning so we can eat well together,
Here food laughter and connection become the real currency,
May this moment remind us why we chose coffee in the first place.

Coffee is not just a product it is a shared moment a bridge between strangers and a reminder that hospitality begins when we choose people over transactions in every single cup served today

没想到44岁的生日，
是在海里过的。

谢谢 Jaylen 的安排，
带我们出海、浮潜、潜水，
第一次这样看见深海的世界。

海很蓝，
时间好像慢了下来。

谢谢教练和摄影团队的辛苦，
带我们潜下去，
也把我们安全带回船上。

还有一颗“海运”的生日蛋糕 🍽️
在海上吹蜡烛。

这一年的生日，
真的很不一样。

有些生日会过去，
有些生日会记一辈子。

这一年，我离开了 Papasan。

很多人觉得离开是一件很简单的事，
但在人生走到这个阶段，
有些决定，其实一点都不容易。

会迷茫，
会怀疑自己，
也会有很多个不确定未来的时刻。

但这一年我也发现一件事——
原来我一直没有一个人。

谢谢爸爸和家人的支持，
谢谢朋友们一直给我的鼓励，
谢谢那些在关键时候帮助我的贵人。

我不是最厉害的人，
但我真的遇见了很多很好的人。

很多感谢的话，
我其实不太会说。

但我一直记在心里。

谢谢你们包容我、相信我、祝福我。

43岁了，
还是在学习，
还是在慢慢往前走。

后来我才明白一件事：

人生不是一个人走得多快，
而是有多少人愿意陪你一起走。

谢谢你们。
