Saying goodbye to her this morning nearly broke me. 💔
Ten months of being her whole world. Her first face in the morning, Her comfort and Her home.

And today I had to hand her over, pick up my bag, and walk out the door.

I cried before I got to the car. I cried in the car. I checked my phone approximately 50 times before lunch.

Nobody tells you that going back to work means grieving a version of your days that you’ll never get back. The slow mornings.

The way she looks at you like you’re everything.
But I’m doing this for her. And somehow that’s the only thing that makes the goodbye easier.

Motherhood keeps teaching me that every season is different.Some seasons feel full of growth, excitement and new beginnings. Others feel like you’re just trying to make it through the day and honestly? Both matter.

Every season has something to teach us.One reflection in Whole Mum asks:

“What season of life are you in right now? What is it asking of you?”

Sometimes we’re so focused on getting to the next chapter that we forget to acknowledge where we are right now.

Maybe this season is asking you to slow down, heal, trust, grow or simply keep going.

Optimism doesn’t mean pretending everything is perfect. Sometimes it means believing that this season isn’t the whole story.

Last Saturday was one of those days that reminded me why intentionality matters.

I woke up at 3 a.m. to prepare pastry orders for my business before the rest of the house woke up.

Later that day, I celebrated one of my closest friends at her bridal shower.

Could I have done everything without planning ahead? Probably not.

Motherhood has taught me that I can’t do everything, every day. But sometimes, with preparation and by choosing what matters most, I can make space for the people and moments I don’t want to miss.

Showing up for your loved ones doesn’t make you any less of a present mum. In fact, it reminds your children that relationships, celebration and community matter too.

Some days will be about rest.
Some days will be about survival.
And some days, like this one, will remind you that you’re capable of more than you realised.

Here’s to giving ourselves grace, celebrating the wins big and small and remembering that being a whole mum also means nurturing the relationships that fill our own cup. 🤍

Motherhood changed me in beautiful ways.

I found this old video of myself, heavily pregnant and dancing in front of the mirror.

I look at her now and smile because she had no idea what was coming.

She didn’t know about the sleepless nights, the mum guilt, the tears, the joy, the identity shifts, or the moments of wondering who she was outside of being “MUM”

Looking back, I realise I wasn’t just growing a baby.
I was growing into a new version of myself.

That journey inspired me to create something I wish I’d had from the beginning of motherhood.

Tomorrow I clock back into work after maternity leave… and honestly, I deserve an award 🏆😂

I’ve successfully completed the toughest role of my life:
✔️Survived a miscarriage
✔️ Survived pregnancy
✔️ Graduated from labour & delivery
✔️ Mastered night shifts with zero training
✔️ Became a full-time milk bar, comforter and professional baby whisperer.

Now I’m swapping baby talk for emails and meetings again but forever promoted to MOM first 💕

Pray for my alarm ⏰ tomorrow morning… it hasn’t seen this version of me in a while 😅

My 2025 wrap!!

Entered this year carrying my testimony and rainbow 🌈 baby 👶.

Each day was filled with anxiety, joy, somedays peace and somedays crippling fear.

But guess what God showed out for me by giving me the quickest birth (one moment was texting my girls to intercede for me, the next moment texting them baby is here😃😃😃 in less 10 mintues) to welcome my covenant baby in grand style.

This season of being a first time mom, a wife, a daughter, a good friend has taught me to be intentional and protect my peace with every ounce of my being.

All I can say is God is faithful and in His own time in makes everything better and beautiful. All Praise to Him🙏🏾

Thank you everyone who has prayed, supported and encouraged me to be the best version of myself. We doing it better next year.
