When in Porto make sure to visit the MOST beautiful church there. The chapel of Souls or Cappella das Almas was built in the 18th centuryIts covered with traditional azulejo tiles depicting scenes of the saints.

When I travel I love slowing down to take a moment and learn.

Don’t miss out on this gem on your next Sintra visit!

Often, when one thinks of Sintra, Pena Palace, and Moors castle comes to mind.

But on your next Sintra visit, stop by the Palacio de Monserrate! The architecture is a gorgeous Arabian design surrounded by hills and lovely gardens.
The gardens consist of a Japanese garden, a Mexican garden, a fern valley, and a rose garden with little pools and lakes.

When we went, most of the gardens were done blooming, but there was still plenty to see.

Here are some tips for your Palacio de Monserrate visit:

✨Wear comfy shoes! The gardens are at the base of the hill, so there is lots of walking

✨Make sure to bring water as the cafe can be closed

✨Take the smaller 435 bus to get to Monserrate Palace when the existing Sintra Railway Station

✨Take your time to enjoy the greenery and architecture

‼️Can you believe that there are about 1000 plant species?! Even with some of out bloom, there is plenty to see!

Finding little moments of peace and tranquility during your travels. This view of the Eiffel Tower and the calming Seine River is a must. If you go early in the morning it’s pretty empty!

✨If you visit Paris you have to have a Seine River stroll. The Seine River is the epicenter of the vibrant French Capital.

✨Lined across the river are cute cafes, traditional booksellers and charming neighborhoods.

To get the Eiffel Tower and river view combo leave the Trocadero and head towards the Post d’lena bridge but dont cross it. Take the steps to go under the bridge and enjoy the wonderful and serene view!

POV: a beautiful cloudy day near the The Arc de Triomphe.

I love waking up early, grabbing a coffee, and wandering around when traveling.

In this case, I enjoyed my little latte near The Arc de Triomphe, one of Paris's most iconic landmarks.

Here are a few things you can do near the Arc de Triomphe.

✨Have a picnic and stroll the beautiful Parc Monceau

✨Stop at the La Maison du Chocolate at 225 rue du Faubourg St-St-Honoré

Would you ever guess this gorgeous amphitheater is in Costa Rica, not Greece?

For my sunset lovers, you must catch a sunset or even a sunrise here.

📍Villa Calleta Hotel in Puntarenas Province.

🌅Tip: You dont have to stay at the hotel to view the sunset at the theater; however, it would be kind to buy a drink or something small.

☑️ Save this post for your next day trip to Manuel Antonio!

I am a sucker for a good beach! Although our home base was Jaco, we took a quick day trip to Manuel Antonio. Much like the rest of Costa Rica, it was lush and beautiful.

Here are some things to do on your Manuel Antonio day trip!

💚$$ Visit Manuel Antonio Park
💚$$ Chocolate Tour
💚Visit playa Espadilla beach (try some of the food by the vendors!)
💚Hike to Jungle Creek Waterfall aka El Salto
💚Go on a sunset walk on the Malecon in Quepos

❕Safety Tip
If you are on a beach where the river connects to the sea in CR, look out for crocodiles! I was playing in the river, and apparently, a crocodile was hanging out nearby!

Happy Monday friends!

If life has taught me anything these past couple of years it's that you are not guaranteed tomorrow an to do things that brings you joy. For me thats spending time with my loved ones, creating new memories and traveling. Sometimes I get to combine all three at once!

Is there a thing you look forward to most while traveling?✈️

One of the things I look most forward to is chasing sunsets.
It gives me a chance slow down and invite moments of reflection.

I've seen some gorgeous sunsets in my time, but the ones in Jaco, Costa Rica, were something else. I in particular loved a good moody rainy sunset!

Life just moved slower there, and folks took the time to enjoy the simple moments of sunrises and sunsets.
It brought a sense of calamity watching the sun descending over the water or jungle.

Here are three places for a good sunset in Jaco!

One of my favorite things about traveling is finding hidden gems though friends and locals!

Next time you are in Jaco, Costa Rica, check out this hidden gem called Bar Cantina el Tajo. The owner is very kind and serves delicious fresh food.

**Ways to get there**
👉🏼 Take a taxi ride from Jaco downtown cost about $5
👉🏼 Rent a ATV and ride up the mountain

❕Note* The owner did mention moving the location in the summer but it should nearby with better view!
