Ice tells a story.

For glaciologist and PrimaLoft® Ambassador Peter Neff, studying that story means looking closely at how our planet is changing, one ice core at a time.

But understanding the problem is only part of the work. The other part is figuring out what we can do about it.

As Peter puts it, change can start from the ground up, in our own communities. by @primaloft

Two months in Greenland aboard Nord Hus, and Lonnie Dupre’s journey through the Arctic has come to an end.

As Lonnie finishes his work in Greenland, @pascale.marceau , @asheberton and @opentoeconstruction will sail Nord Hus 2,000 miles south to Newfoundland.

Let’s take a look back at some of the final moments of the expedition.

When 50 mph katabatic winds came through, this notch in the cliffs was our safe haven. Four shore lines and three anchors kept Nord Hus secure.

For generations, Qimmiit have been built for the Arctic. These incredible sled dogs can pull their own body weight all day, powering hunting, ice fishing and travel across Greenland.

Greenland’s colorful homes bring a little warmth to a landscape of rock and ice. But with snow and high winds acting like sandpaper, keeping that paint on is no easy feat.

Sailing wing-on-wing as summer gives way to darkness. With Arctic storms closing in and 2,000 miles to go, it was a race to get Nord Hus home.

A dream three decades in the making. After 5,000 miles and two summers exploring the Arctic, Nord Hus and crew have safely made it back to Canada.
