Really enjoyed the @quadmodballet ballet production of Quadrophenia @sadlers_wells last night. You may ask yourself what does the 1960’s Modernist movement have to do with ballet and what would ace face Peter Meaden think of it ? However, when it comes down to it, the story is about a confused young man who finds his identity in being a Mod just as I and countless others found theirs in being a Punk - the movement as vehicle to finding meaning / agency / purpose in one’s life. It’s a saga of a kid trying to find himself whilst being lost in the teenage wasteland - something we can all relate to. The staging, dancing & music were superb. Conratulations to @yaggerdang and @rachelfullertownshend for making this happen. by @primalscreamofficial
