Meet Kiska. His job is to bring joy back into the home where I once lived. He understands his assignment. He's smart. He has attached himself to Hudad. He is very cuddly and he purrs a lot! This is a photodump of him since he arrived on Friday, June 13.

🌈 Goodbye, my dear friends 🐾

Today, I crossed the rainbow bridge and gained my angel wings. At 8 ½ years old, cancer took me from this world too soon, but I want to leave you with memories of the wonderful times we shared.

I was always happiest exploring nature, spending countless hours in my beloved woodlot and meadow, and going on walks with my loving Meowm. Whether I was on a leash or snug in a backpack, I felt the love and adventure we shared together.

Thank you for all the love and joy you brought into my life. I will be watching over you from above, forever grateful for the beautiful moments we had.

Until we meet again, keep exploring and loving the world around you. 🌿🌼 Primrose

Many may know she was receiving energy from a friend of mine who is also a Reiki Master Healer. She sent energy last night, this morning, and during her passing. I'd like to share her visions with you. She wrote:

"This morning, her fur Angels were over her. There were several young dragons around them and lots of white n violet streams of light. I will start sending again at 2 pm."

Then later, she wrote:
2/12/2025. 2:00-2:30pm

"Primrose had the most amazing, massive, beautiful white wings drop down onto her. White and violet light was swirling around her. She became a form like a snowflake and then completely formed into sacred geometry. This form became so many amazing colors. Finally, it formed into a fluid, swirling flow of orange, gold, magenta, and violet. The colors kept streaming together. Her soul is so beautiful!"

Happy #UpATreeThursday! 🌳🐾

As we observe #WorldSightDay today, it's the perfect prelude to next week's special Blindness Awareness celebration. Kiska spent the afternoon exploring high among the golden autumn leaves, reminding me that confidence, determination, curiosity, and trust help cats navigate their world. Next week we'll be honored to celebrate some amazing blind cats and dogs who prove every day that blind does not mean limited. We hope you'll join us as we shine a light on their special talents and accomplishments! 💚🌳

All the way up he goes,
into October’s fire‑bright glow—
a whisper of autumn beneath his paws,
a promise of courage in every claw.

Branches tremble, leaves ignite,
Kiska rises into the season’s light.
From root to crown he claims the sky—
October begins with a fearless climb.

A little late to the #UpATreeThursday2026 party, but Kiska insisted on taking his sweet time! 🍁 Our assignment was to show how we love autumn, and Kiska's method is simple: move slowly, sniff the crisp air, explore the bark, and take in the view. Fall is all about the details. 🍂🍁🍃

🐼Kiska and the Great Panda Pawty🐼

When Kiska heard that Amber’s first birthday was going full panda, he packed his curiosity and climbed straight into the grove. The bamboo whispered secrets of cake crumbs and confetti, and before long he found himself face‑to‑face with the birthday girl herself — a vision in black‑and‑white fluff.

Amber showed him how to roll like a panda (literally), how to nap mid‑celebration, and how to claim the best snack pile with a single blink. Kiska, ever the explorer, tried to mimic her moves — a paw here, a tumble there — until both were laughing in the leaves.

By sunset, the grove glowed with lantern light and panda giggles. Kiska raised a paw and declared, “This is the most pawsome panda‑monium I’ve ever seen!”

And just like that, the cat who climbed trees became an honorary panda for the day.

Finding Fall, even on heavy days.

Tonight we climb for the ones we miss, and for the ones we carry forward.

As Fall begins to show itself, Kiska reminds me that even in heavy seasons, life still reaches upward.
Some days the climb is gentle, some days it’s defiant — but it’s always toward the light.

Today, Foreman Kiska clocked in early. The garden was already bustling, and he took his post among the swaying grasses, surveying his domain like a seasoned supervisor. So many tasks. So little time. So much fluff.

First assignment: quality control. He inspected the coneflowers with great seriousness, making sure every petal was properly arranged and every stem standing at attention. A single crooked bloom? Not on his watch.

Next, he checked the ornamental grasses for structural integrity. He wove through them like a tiny inspector with a clipboard, ensuring they met his very strict “must be tall enough to hide a cat” requirement.

Even hardworking employees need a moment to sit on a warm stone and contemplate life. Kiska took his union‑mandated rest, pondering whether chipmunks should be required to file noise complaints before squeaking.

Then it was back to work—this time as the official Branch Stability Tester. He climbed up, wiggled, stretched, and declared the branch “acceptable for future lounging.” Another job well done.

Some workers rest on Labor Day… but the garden still needs tending. Luckily, Kiska never misses a shift. by @primrose.aforestcat

As we climb into September and the first hints of fall color begin to brush our branches, today’s #UpaTreeThursday2026 carries a little extra meaning.
Our forest is changing seasons… and this week, one of our beloved furamilies @cflickcats had to say goodbye to their beautiful Marmelaide — our radiant, mischievous, elegant Auntie Marmie.

She was a Lady of many worlds:
a Princess with emerald eyes,
a sassy hot‑pants inspector,
a glamorous troublemaker,
a storyteller,
a comforter,
and a friend to so many — including our Primrose.

Kiska always called her Auntie during our virtual gatherings, and that’s exactly how she felt: someone who arrived with sparkle, stayed with warmth, and left laughter trailing behind her like glitter.

Today, as Kiska climbs his autumn tree in his fall bandana, he sends a tail‑high salute to Marmie — now flying light and free over the Rainbow Bridge, reunited with her Doodles and watching over her furamily with that signature Marmie mix of love and gentle sass.

Meowm told me the wildest story today…
Apparently the kitten distribution system delivered a tiny orange sunshine right through @kiko_n_aria ’s cat door — chased in by Lakota himself!

I had to climb up here to process the news. I mean… a wee feral baby, six weeks old, scared, skinny, and suddenly safe? That’s happiness happening in real time.

And now we get to help choose her name.
Sunna — Nordic goddess of the sun.
Aurora — Roman goddess of Dawn.
Both perfect for a golden girl who arrived like a spark.

On #WhiskersWednesday, Kiska climbs a little higher for someone who lifted us all. Dolly Parton sparked the world with kindness, courage, and joy — the kind that ripples through communities just like today’s #SparkTheWorldDay.
