Tec-Troit what! Thank you everyone who helped create such a beautiful and invigorating weekend. To the organisers and djs for putting on such an insane FREE event, to the deadhead lady who gave Connor and I a much needed crystal power up, to josiah for having us in his home, and to every friendly resident of Detroit. I feel alive and inspired. This weekend reminded me why I do this shit, on both sides of the bar. I’m coming back with fresh energy and can’t wait to share that with you all at mansions. I will be working harder than ever and boogieing twice that. See you all at mac’s birthday on Thursday; you’re gonna have to peel me off the floor and pick me out of the carpet. by @primrosecvnt

Cringe post incoming fuck you:
Yesterday marked one year of being Prim in New York City. Easily the biggest step I’ve ever taken and one that has created some of the biggest challenges I have ever had to overcome so I feel like it deserves to be written about.
I didn’t really think this one through to be honest. I’ve always thought about moving to nyc but when I tried researching online how to do it I found absolutely no help so I kinda just saw a meme about bushwick that seemed relatable and bought a plane ticket. Got a job at a bar in bushwick almost immediately and met so many fantastic people that I am proud to still call my friends. I also got fired after two months which led to a rough few months of unemployment but hey what are you gonna do about it?
Housing was a whole other issue. So difficult and it really felt like very few people cared or wanted to help. I went into a bank to open an account but the manager told me I needed a permanent residence and when I told him no one would rent to me because I didn’t have a bank account he just said ‘oh that sucks’.
I feel one of my biggest strengths is my self-reliance and this move has given me the opportunity to test myself on that every single day. I have failed and dropped the ball and felt like shit so many times but at the end of the day I am Primrose Anderson and everything always works out for me. I have a house now and a great job and beautiful friends. I am proud of myself and what I have achieved this year. I plan on staying in nyc for a very long time and it is only up from here. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this journey.
Now I am going to eat a dozen oysters and drink a martini (gin, dry with a twist) before going to work at a natural wine bar/techno club/fog room for I have become the very bushwick meme that first inspired me. by @primrosecvnt
