📣: massages aren’t just a treat-yourself splurge 💆🏻‍♀️ they’re part of my half marathon training now.

more miles = tighter legs, and recovery is where the body actually gets stronger. so i’m booking the massage and calling it homework 😌🤣📚

shoutout to josh from @wshwellness who comes to your home and brings the recovery to you. we always have the best conversations, and he’s always giving me advice on how to take care of my body even after he leaves 🙌🏼 send @wshwellness a dm to get him to come straight to you!

do you get massages for recovery or do you just foam roll and cry? 👇🏼🤣🫣

$freshman year of high school i ran 1 mile and said NEVER again ❌😂 well. . .here we are 🤷🏻‍♀️ my best friend is the only reason i got into running. watching him go all in made me enter the lottery for the United NYC Half, thinking “no way i get in”. . .and, SURPRISE, i got in! 😳😱 then a stress fracture took me out 🦶🏼💔 so i deferred my spot, and this time i’m actually doing it. i commit first and figure it out later 🏹 i’m documenting all of it: the slow runs, the complaining, the crying, and hopefully the wins. who else swore they’d never run? 👇🏼 #halfmarathontraining #storytime #runningjourney #runnersofinstagram #motivation by @princesaruns$

nobody tells you the spectating is its own marathon 😮‍💨

congratulations to every single person who ran the NYC marathon yesterday 🎉🗽 you’re incredible!!!!

but a special shout out to all spectators running all over the city trying to catch their loved ones. subway sprints, pushing through crowds, checking the tracking app every 2 minutes, screaming at mile 16 then racing to mile 24. . .you’re the real MVPs 🏆😂

my legs are sore and i didn’t even run it 🙃
who else did the spectator marathon? 👇🏼

holllissssss parceros 👑

today i watched the NYC marathon and wow. . .watching thousands of people chase 26.2 miles was the most inspiring thing 🥹

every pace, every body, every story. some running, some walking, some limping, all of them pushing forward. from the sidelines we were screaming, crying and cheering like we knew every single one of you, because honestly? we admire you so much 🫶🏼

congratulations to every runner who crossed that finish line today 🎉 and to everyone who showed up at the start line, because that takes guts too. special shoutout to @buildproconst & @chamisz18! you guys are BAD ASS!

you lit something in me, and now my half marathon feels so real 😳🏹 if you can do 26.2, this princesa can do 13.1!

me: a non-runner who struggles running a couple of miles.

also me: one day at the NYC Marathon expo, and they’ve got me holding a bib and screaming like i’m about to run 26.2 🫣🤣🤷🏻‍♀️

marathon energy is contagious. proceed with caution ⚠️

i am focused on 13.1 first, what happens next, only God knows 😬

stay tuned for the good, the bad, the laughter, and the ugly 🤣
