I would like to thank everyone for the love, support, and prayers my family and I have received over the last few days.

My mother’s passing was very sudden and unexpected as she was in perfect health and we had just spoken to her minutes before. 2 weeks ago we were celebrating her 33RD Wedding Anniversary and her 30th year teaching.

My family and I are definitely feeling the absence of my Mother, as she played such a big part in every aspect of our lives. My mother made sure to be intentional about staying connected to her husband and children. Her love language was all languages.

She played such a big role in her community as well. She taught Mathematics for 30 years at John I. Leonard High School. My mother was not only a teacher in the classroom, but she was a teacher to anyone that needed help. Everyone knew they could call my mom with a math question and she would have the answer to it. After all, she studied 10 levels above Calculus!!!

I guess you can say my mom was a genius. She could do anything she put her mind to and figure out all solutions. Whether it was installing a fence, knocking down a wall and installing a door (our last big project together that she finished on Friday before her passing), or building a bench from scrap pieces of wood (we still use this today). She even pushed her kids to do the same, my mom not too long ago had me take apart our washing machine to fix it 🤣 … and surprisingly it worked Lol.

In her last moments (Wednesday - Friday with me and my brother), my mother told us several times that being able to do projects with her kids were priceless. She completed so many things in her last days, and refused to leave anything unfinished that she knew we couldn’t do on our own…. After our last hug goodbye, she said she was sad to leave because working with her children was her favorite thing to do.

Most importantly, My mother was a strong WOMAN OF GOD. She included him in ALL THINGS. There wasn’t a day that she wasn’t thanking God and giving him the glory.

I will miss you Mommy ❤️ but your strong faith brings me peace, and I know we will be reunited again in Heaven one day. Rest My Angel 🕊️ by @princesscaira
