To be YOUNG. GIFTED. AND BLACK. ✨
On May 9, 2026 at 9AM, I will walk across the stage at the University of Mobile and receive my Bachelor’s in Healthcare Management, stepping into the 23% of Black women in the healthcare workforce.

In the Fall, I WILL be pursuing my Master’s in Public Health with a concentration in Community Health, pushing forward to join the less than 5% of Black women in Healthcare Leadership. Representation Matters. Our communities deserve leaders who understand them, and I refuse to let the statistics set limitations against me.

Being a Black woman means moving through a world that wasn’t built for us. I know who I am. I know what I’m called to do, and I’m walking boldly into it. In a world where the odds are stacked before you even speak, it becomes essential to know exactly who you are and what you’re destined for. I AM grounded. I AM focused. I WILL become everything I once prayed for.

To my Parents and Siblings, thank you. Your sacrifices, your love, your unwavering support have carried me through every late night, every doubt, every victory. I hope I continue to make you proud, because everything I am is rooted in everything you poured into me.

Here’s to the little Black girl who once wondered if she was enough.
Here’s to Black women breaking barriers, rewriting narratives, and rising, again and again.
Here’s to the next chapter. And here’s to doing it all with grace, purpose, and Black Excellence.✨
