I feel everything all at once at times. Some days are better than others. Sometimes it’s hard to articulate what to even say or tell people. ~10/28/1954- 1/27/22~
It has been an extremely difficult year for us in fact it hasn’t even been a year since you left us. When I think back I get sad all over again. My heart tenses up and my breathing gets heavy. I couldn’t even look at your pictures let alone post anything about you because it would have made it that much more real that you’re actually gone. But I’m here now on your birthday to honor you papa. You may have not been you’re best with us at times but near the end, you not knowing it was going to be your last, you did really try to rectify the wrongs of the past. And yet again, you still taught me your last most valuable lesson. Forgiveness. And how powerful that is to acknowledge the hurt then release the pain and letting that pain go. From this day forward, I will try my very best to be true, to be sincere, and most importantly, to not hold hate in my heart, and live the best life I can because I know that what you would have wanted. ~Goodbye 2019~
It’s been a whirlwind of a decade filled with love, prosperity, loss, triumphant, trials and errors. I have learned a lot since I was 16 years old. I still haven’t finished out my 20’s and my god I have learned a lot and there still so much to take in but cheers to the next chapter in life onto a new decade.
