We just picked up this 964 with over 300,000 km on the clock, to prove a point: A classic like this still has soul, beauty, and presence. But there’s also room to restore and improve while keeping the original spirit. We call these „OEM Plus“ or R+ projects.

So over the next few weeks and months, we’ll restore and rebuild this car into one of our R+ “OEM Plus” type builds. Refined to set new benchmarks. If you want to know more about the project in detail, find us on YouTube.

This is what happens when we take everything we love about the old - and then turn up the intensity, performance and driveability to modern standards.

Bespoke 930 turbo project incoming based on L999 code German 2owner matching numbers car. The discerning gentleman customer chose oak green metallic as the exterior. Interior design is next. The final show and shine before last week’s event.

A last minute polish was needed on unrestored paint. We went for a 2 stage and in some areas 3 stage polishing process at @ea_polishing_studios for our prototype and reference car.

How does that work? The car is washed, fallout is removed and the paint is clayed until the surface is perfectly clean.

Then the polish begins. A first stage to remove the scratches. Then a high-gloss finishing polish to erase every trace the first stage left behind. Each pass removes only a few microns of clear coat, and together they remove approximately 75–95 % of all scratches.

The @gyeon_de @gyeon_official MOHS ceramic coating locks it all in, protecting the finish for the miles ahead and making the cleaning process ideal for time pressed individuals such as Martin.

The story behind the car we are building for Samir is a special one.

He’ll drive the car until October, and then our work begins. For him, this 964 is more than just a car. It’s a connection to his father, who worked as a mechanic after coming to Canada as well as to the cars he grew up around.

That personal connection is what makes this project so meaningful to us. It’s not simply a restoration, it’s about creating a unique car tied to that story of mechanical craftsmanship.

Introducing Team Red - Not every project needs a complete transformation.

Sometimes, the best approach is simply to perfect what’s already there. It all depends on the client and in this case, the client is Marco, one of our founders.

This 964 is a great example of our OEM+ restoration philosophy: technically perfect, while keeping the character of the original car.

The combined improvements are the ones with the best value of driving experience per investment.

A short overview:
1) 3.8l engine upgrade and revision resulting in around 315hp with much improved throttle response yet keeping original looks and Motronic in place
2) Custom gearbox ratios of G50 5 speed with shortened lower gears
3) Full axle, control arm, steering, brake and suspension upgrade incl uprated RS bushings
4) KW V3 with custom spring rates, Cup 2 tires and full corner balance
5) Interior refresh in original Color with „turbo seats“
6) Custom LED headlights
7) Various weight saving measures

Team Blue - our 4.0l build is going into the upper end of the performance spectrum albeit at much higher investment.

It’s all about the details. A small update on our build for Canadian hockey pro Josh Morrissey. Now that the paintwork is complete, the car is back at the coachbuilder for the next stage of the build. Seeing the color come to life makes every hour of preparation worth it. We’re in love with the finish, and this is only the beginning.
