POV: you finally understand the Puerto Rico Bad Bunny

and it hits you almost instantly.

there’s this energy when you land,
like you’ve stepped into something real

people are louder here,
warmer,
more open with their love

You see it in the way they gather.
Big groups, family, friends
the kind of connection that’s easy to feel,
even from the outside

and somehow… the island carries that same energy

in the water,
in the colors,
in the way everything feels alive

it’s not just a place you visit
it’s a place you experience

and that’s when it clicks,
why people come here once… and keep coming back

✨Life in Germany as a part-time expat - part 2 ✨

Living in Germany has been an eye-opening experience. I admit I had many apprehensions about what life would be like but I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the way of life here.

Germany is a place where safety, affordability, and balance are all priorities.

One of the things that stood out to me IMMEDIATELY were young children on busses completely by themselves. Kids as young as 6 going and coming from school independently. This just isn’t something I see in the U.S.

I’ve mentioned before about public transit - and it hits home again. There is no need for a car here. You can live daily life and take trips around the country (and all of Europe for that matter) using public transit.

Which bring me to my next point - how bike friendly Hamburg is specifically. Every single sidewalk has a designated bike lane. And yes, bike traffic lights too.

Which adds to the affordability of living in Germany. No car payment, no car insurance, no gas needed.

To add to all of the above, the cost of food is significantly cheaper (even with the euro outweighing the USD). The food is not only more affordable but it is fresher.

Last but not least (and I can’t say this enough) - the work life balance. The value in down-time has really helped me learn to value living in a more balanced (and less busy) lifestyle.

POV: you book a $70/night hotel in Hoi An and…
THIS is what it looks like 🌿🌾

One of my favorite parts of traveling is finding the places that make you think …. how LUCKY I am to have found this

One of the best parts of traveling Southeast Asia is how affordable beautiful hotels are.

But there’s a difference between finding a cheap hotel and finding a gem.

📍Lasenta Boutique Hotel is an absolute gem.

🌿 The entire property is surrounded by greenery
🌾 The infinity pool looks out over the rice fields
🏡 There’s a beautiful garden courtyard tucked into the middle of the hotel
🐂 And just beyond the property, you can watch oxen working the fields

It didn’t feel like I was just staying somewhere pretty.

It felt like I was getting a taste of Hoi An.

And that’s usually what I’m looking for when I book hotels around the world.

Somewhere beautiful, but also somewhere that gives me a little more of the place I came to experience.

So yes, $70/night is a great price.

But the setting, the design, the experience, and capturing the essence of the city?

That’s what makes it a gem.

With all of the discord in the world right now…

all I can think is ... people need to explore more.

Go somewhere you’ve never been.
See a horizon you’ve never seen.
Stand somewhere that reminds you just how small your little corner of the world really is.

Because maybe there’s something about seeing more of the world that changes the way we see each other.

New places give us new perspectives.
New cultures challenge what we think we know.
New experiences remind us that there are so many different ways to live, believe, love, build a life, and see the world.

And maybe that’s why I keep going.

Because this world is far too beautiful to spend our lives believing that our way is the only way.

There are landscapes that will leave you speechless.
People who will see life completely differently than you do.
Horizons you didn’t even know existed.

And we all know tomorrow isn’t promised.

So go.

Take the trip.
Change your scenery.
See something new.

Go. 🌎

While planning my Vietnam trip,
I knew Ha Long Bay was on my bucket list…

What I didn’t realize was that you can actually stay overnight on the water and experience the bay fully & deeply.

And … this might be one of the most unforgettable ways to experience it.

Waking up surrounded by towering limestones.

Watching the landscape slowly disappear into the morning mist. Sitting on the deck as the sun goes down.
And spending the night somewhere that feels completely removed from the world.

It was dreamy. Ethereal. And a so surreal.

And the fact that a 5-star cruise can be around $100/night makes it even better.

I’m actually someone that said I would never cruise,
BUT this experience was EVERYTHING.

If you’re planning a trip to Vietnam,
this is your reminder that you don’t have to experience Ha Long Bay as a quick day trip.

You can sleep on the water, wake up in the bay, and let the landscape become central part of your trip. 🌊

This is exactly the kind of travel experience I’m always looking for. The ones that make me stop and embrace, how beautiful this world is.

There’s something surreal about realizing you’re standing somewhere your family never could have imagined reaching.

I grew up knowing that travel wasn’t necessarily something people in my family did.

And now, here I am, on the other side of the world, experiencing China with my own eyes.

Not just checking a country off a list,
but carrying a little piece of where I come from with me 🇲🇽.

There’s a particular kind of pride that comes with being the person who gets to see beyond what was familiar,
to experience cultures that once felt impossibly far away,
and to realize just how big this world really is.

For me, travel has always been a way of learning.
Expanding my understanding of the world,
seeing places and possibilities that once felt impossible,
and carrying those experiences with me.

Because the more of the world I see,
the more I understand what a gift it is simply to be here,
to experience it, and to have a life big enough to hold all of these moments.

And maybe that’s what makes this moment feel so much bigger than a passport stamp. 💕

To every first-generation traveler,
every daughter who’s gone further than the generations before her, and everyone who sometimes wonders if the world is really meant for them,

go see it.

Your story can be bigger than the one you inherited. 🌎

I think one of the biggest misconceptions about travel is that you have to go far away to experience its magic.

Of course, I love a passport stamp, an unfamiliar city, and the feeling of landing somewhere I’ve never been before.

But some of the moments that have made me feel most at peace have happened closer to home.

A solo date.
Taking myself somewhere just because I’d never been.
Getting lost in a neighborhood.
Sitting outside with a coffee and nowhere to be.
Having a conversation that lasted hours.
Belly aching laughs with my loved ones.
Watching a sunset I almost didn’t stop for.

Travel has taught me that life can be beautiful everywhere.

And sometimes you just need to experience the life you already have a little differently.

Stay curious.
Say yes more often.
Leave some room for the unexpected.
Notice the places, people, and little moments you’d normally rush past.

It teaches you how to be more present for your own life, too. 🤍🌎

I’ve realized that travel isn’t just about seeing new places,
it’s about seeing life differently. 🌍
