REMISSION.
I went back in time and had coffee with my 15 year old self.

I showed her this picture and she asked me what the distance was between them…I answered 15 years, 5475 days, 180 months.

She asked if God ever answered our prayer? I told her the truth, that there were times we almost lost hope. There were times we accepted maybe healing will come in heaven not on earth.

But 15 years later…Jesus answered.

I’m thankful for today, for the doctors report and for the words I’ve waited to hear for half of my life, “Priscilla, lupus is in remission,” but I’m equally thankful for the in between. The season of “not yet.” The worshipping while I waited. The closeness I have with the healer because He and I both waited 15 years for the healing to happen.

My old self got up to leave, looking forward to the future, but she turned and asked what’s the best part of it all?

I answered in the words of the Psalmist, “I once was young and now I’m old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging for bread.”

Hold on, friend, to every bit of hope you have.

He’s always on time. 15 years later…right on time.

Lupus is in remission.

WHEN SCIENTISTS FEUD

This room transformation was so much fun!

The idea was that scholars would walk into a lab and the experiment went “wrong.” Explosions, blown up DNA strands, splatters everywhere and of course all of the “keep out” signs we can muster.

8th graders loved this and I’m so excited to do my next transformation for my middle school scholars soon! by @priscilla_foster17

Trusty is TWO YEARS OLD!

He will do anything for a belly rub, he’s the most trainable animal (thank you Bernese part of him) and we have figured out how to groom him which is why you see more of his face this year than last year. 😅😆😂

Starting year 5 @_betaacademy ❤️

Another year in middle school begins on Tuesday and I’m so excited to be stepping into this school year with both 7th AND 8th graders!

My prayer is that everyone who walks in this room feels the love and peace of Jesus and that lives are changed. Please cover the scholars, myself, my fellow teachers, faculty and staff in prayers for this year.

The last days of a golden summer has rolled our way again.

Her smile is my favorite.

She went from a princess to a sweet Mouse to an explorer all in one week.
She braved a surgery.
She traveled across country with her grandparents.

I love you sweet angel girl.

This trip was one that I will keep in my heart forever.

We saw Alaska exclusive Mickey and Minnie shots on Glacier day, we had the best table with some new friends (will post them soon), and if I could give any advice for a cruise it’s this: get the photo package! Most of these photos are DCL photographers and they’re always amazing!

Cast members: Magic makers.
I have always been a huge fan of Cast members and their dedication to making Disney trips as smooth, magical and joyful as possible.

This trip I wanted to commemorate them and you would be surprised how willing and happy they were to have their photo taken.

To the wait staff, custodians, photographers, character partners, life guards, baristas, housekeepers, entertainment hosts and so many more: thank you for all that you do to keep the magic alive.

More landscape!

The train ride going up and down the mountains in Skagway was everything I ever dreamed of. 😭
It really felt like stepping back in time.

Also, the gondola at Icy Strait Point went all the way up and down a mountain with the most beautiful views.

Ketchikan was where we learned about the Native American culture in Alaska and the stories that went with each totem pole. by @priscilla_foster17

These views had me singing “The hills are alive with the sound of music” everytime I saw them. From endless mountain ranges to glaciers to totem poles the views on this cruise were unmatched. The history of the state of Alaska is amazing and I know these photos will never do the views justice, but these are my favorites from the 3000 photos of mountains and oceans and trees I took. 😅
