If you’re in the gap between the work and the moment
It doesn't mean you're bad at the work.
It just means you're EARLY.
Keep showing up anyway.

Bad drawing days still count. Your hand won’t always cooperate with your brain, but the volume adds up. 100 bad drawings are still 100 drawings, and that’s how momentum is built. Keep going 💪

Birds on boats - Galapagos islands
At 5-6am on any given day, the pier was the place to be for both people and pelicans! 🦭🐧🦤

5. Father and son are finally reunited, but Odysseus continues to play Undercover Boss until Athena intervenes. This guy literally needs a God to come down from the sky to tell him to stop lying for 5 seconds 🤥👖🔥

4. 0dysseus finally makes it home to Ithica. Athena disguises him as Old Man so he's unrecognizable. No one thinks it's weird that he always has a D&D character sheet with an elaborate backstory ready to go because he loves assuming fake identities 🤨

3. We should pause for a second to discuss Odysseus' pathological lying/revisionist history problem. His press briefing for the Odyssey was basically, "the trip home was tremendous, perhaps the most successful trip in the history of Ancient Greece, thanks to my outstanding leadership skills and my fantastic relationship with the Gods, no one has a better relationship with the Gods than me." 🤥

2. Odysseus and his posse go to literal hell to find out they need to do to get home safely. In the Underworld they see the ghost of Agamemnon, who is mega bitter that his wife and her new lover murdered him, and will not shut up about how all women suck now. Poor Achilles is stuck hanging out for the rest of eternity listening to Agamemnon whinge and he's 👏so👏over👏it

Throwback to some Odyssey sketches!

1. Odysseus and his posse get to Circe's island, and she turns all of his men into pigs. 🐷 Yikes! Luckily, Hermes shows up and gives our boy some specific instructions: "Eat this flower. Threaten to kill her. Sleep with her. Then make her swear she'll fix this." This and other Life Hacks brought to you by Hermes, your friendly neighbourhood weed dealer 🚬

Leiden was one of the pivotal cities during the Scientific Revolution. Some of the most important ideas in history survived because a nation chose dialogue over division & tolerance over certainty. It's not a bad way to navigate the world! 🌷
