🚨ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨Introducing @privatesector A little backstory about how I got here (yes that’s me in the video 🎭). I started out making films when I was young. Movies, music videos, school projects. I wanted to be a director. I ended up going into advertising and moving to NYC, eventually co-founding a tech company. I spent my free time (when I had it) navigating New York’s nightlife scene and dabbling in some creative projects, making music videos or creative directing photoshoots. At some point last year I decided to start taking this work to a new level. Several years ago, my business partner said to me “Matt I feel like you are a different person outside of work.” That was maybe an understatement 😂 I felt self conscious. Like I was trying to do too much, or that I was failing to deliver enough of myself on either side of that divide. That feeling became the inspiration for Private Sector. To ditch the shame around that duality, and to embrace it. Celebrate it. Wear it as a badge of honor. Especially here in NYC, I have met so many wacky, brilliant, inspiring and diverse people who balance this same duality. This brand is for us. Its about our story. As the founder, its my job to ensure this story is told authentically - through the campaigns, the products, the packaging, the activations, every touchpoint. So please – if this resonates with you even a little bit, follow us and watch what we do next. This project is my love letter to New York. Charles and I are about to move to Miami (🌴!!) so it’s a bittersweet love letter. But this brand’s heart and soul (and my own) will remain here forever. If you are still reading this, thanks.
