Honored to say that my painting "Parallax View" was awarded 2nd place at the CWA's National Open Juried exhibition at the William Benton Museum of Art. Thank you to the juror Deanna Fitzgerald, Dean of the School of Fine Arts at UConn @uconnsfa , all the organizers at @ctwomenartists and the curators and staff at @bentonmuseumuconn . Three of my paintings are included in this wonderful group show which is on view through July 27. by @priyangreen

Nothing short of a dream to say that my work is included in a book along with Jenny Saville, whose work I've admired and studied closely for decades now, as well as so many other artists I've followed closely who are also included in this book. To be placed in conversation with these artists is a highlight of my career so far.

John Seed's latest book More Disruption: Representation in Flux is absolutely BEAUTIFUL and a poignant survey of painters from around the world dealing with contemporary issues within Realism and Representationalism. As one of the artists included, I got an advanced copy of the book, but it is available for preorder on Amazon and will be released end of October. If you love art books and contemporary painting, this is a must get!!! John Seed has an eye, and I'm so honored to be included.

Artists: Megan Aline, Ben Ashton, Sarah Awad, Lee Balan, Alla Bartoschchuk, Casey Baugh, Shane Keisuke Berkery, Arcenio Martin Campos, José Luis Ceña Ruiz, Riso Chan, Aleah Chapin, Angela D’Ospina, Xavier Daniels, Andy Denzler, Michael Dorn, Teresa Dunn, Marilyn Durkin, Joshua Flint, Edwige Fouvry, Dean Fox, Ian Francis, Priya Green, Joshua Hagler, Gherdai Hassell, Bryan Ida, Marcus Jansen, Ruprecht von Kaufmann, Yongchul Kim, Kata Kukla, Lino Lago, Annie Lapin, Joseph Lee, Kathy Liao, Michal Lukasiewicz, Melinda Matyas, Johnny Morant, Justin Mortimer, Danielle Mužina, Nicole Sacks, Jenny Saville, Timothy Robert Smith, Caroline Westerhout, Darryl Westly, Anthony Peyton Young

While painting this, I was thinking of the chartreuse light at the end of the path glowing like a beacon, diluting the edges...somewhat other worldly.

NEXT WEEK! I'm happy to announce that @nepublicmedia has acquired this painting of mine entitled "Passing Through" to their public art collection. They will be celebrating the new pieces added to their collection with a meet and greet with the artists & curators as well as behind the scenes tours of their studios. A special thanks to all of those that made this happen. See you then!

My son helped me name this new one...

Time Traveler, 2026, oil on canvas, 48 x 60 inches by @priyangreen

This one nearly flew under the radar, but I stopped myself to see it and say it's done. I love when the image just hovers there, and the subject nearly disappears. What do you see in this one?

Having fun playing in the mud.... Every new surface is an experiment that keeps me coming back by @priyangreen

Seeing through the eyes of my ajju who worked on the 1978 Hindi film Dillagi featuring actor Dharmendra. Reimagining a brief moment in time.

A small whisper. This painting is called "Passing Through 2" and is oil on canvas 14x11 inches. It's available through @deannaevansprojects e-flat file. by @priyangreen

A great artist talk at @fivepointsartsct the other day. I was joined by fellow artists @enriquefigueredo and @afarinrahmanifar for a panel discussion moderated by @markgsnyder . I loved hearing the stories behind the work. I was asked about the use of yellow in this particular painting. And I describe this color as one that is difficult to read, yet paint solidifies it...A lot of these works are about bridging a gap between something distant and fading. This work was inspired by a historic photograph of a group of British and Indian officers now being read through the flickering pixels of my screen. You can see these works there through Aug 1. by @priyangreen

Excited to be part of this group show @latitudegallery_newyork opening on Weds Feb 4 in NYC. My work Axiom will be amongst a group of fabulous paintings centered around the horse.

As Lunar New Year draws near—and with 2026 marking the Year of the Horse—LATITUDE Gallery is delighted to announce
𝓤𝓷𝓫𝓻𝓲𝓭𝓵𝓮𝓭: 𝓗𝓸𝓻𝓼𝓲𝓷’ 𝓐𝓻𝓸𝓾𝓷𝓭 — a salon-style group exhibition celebrating the Year of the Horse.

Bringing together 35 artists across diverse cultural backgrounds, visual languages, and historical sensibilities, the exhibition orbits around a single unruly figure: the horse 🐎 — wild, tender, powerful, stubborn, mythic, and endlessly reimagined.

📅 Opening Reception: Wed, February 4, 2026, 6–8pm
🕒 On view: February 4 – March 14, 2026
📍 5 Lispenard St, New York, NY 10013
⏳ Gallery hours: Tue–Sat, 12–6pm

Participating artists include Sarah Avolio, Emma Beatrez, Patrick Bower, Alice Brasser, Cam Champ, Leru Chen, Yishi Chen, Liane Chu, Ana Cristina, Miguel Escobar, Tim Gardner, Till Gerhard, Priya N. Green, Ho Jae Kim, Dene Leigh, Guanguan Li, Xu Li, Xing Li, Xi Li, Iris Yehong Mao, Cici McMonigle, Sarah Alice Moran, Nicolina Morra, Dylan Rose Rheingold, Alan Skalaski, Antonio Vidal, Zhizi Wu, Zexu Wu, Zan Wang, Wendy Wei, Darcy Whent, Hugo Winder-Lind, Timon Yc I, Leonard Yang, and Theresia Zhang.

Neither purely symbolic nor merely representational, the horse appears here as a migratory image — one that has galloped across myth, labor, warfare, leisure, cinema, and the modern imagination. Embracing abundance, adjacency, and visual excess, Unbridled allows meanings to proliferate rather than stabilize.

Honoring the horse as a symbol of freedom and unbridled spirit, we look toward 2026 with hope — wishing that everything may gallop forward in a better direction.

💌 Comment “horse” for the exclusive exhibition checklist of 𝓤𝓷𝓫𝓻𝓲𝓭𝓵𝓮𝓭: 𝓗𝓸𝓻𝓼𝓲𝓷’ 𝓐𝓻𝓸𝓾𝓷𝓭.

Happy to share this recently completed work. Been having lots of fun dissolving the paint into abstraction... And still thinking of residues of images...
