Mukhota Dance (mask dance) is a vibrant and deeply spiritual folk tradition deeply embedded in the cultural fabric of Uttarakhand. They are sacred storytelling mediums where performers embody Hindu epics, local deities, and mythical protectors, reenacting cosmic battles and timeless legends uding masks made out of Birch wood.

Ultimately, it is important we preserve these practices as this is what keeps us rooted in this world of superficiality.
Big hands to @devasthali__official for putting up a brilliant show.

The beauty of the mountains is breathtaking, but the silence they carry is heavier. The same soil that gave us our identity is now left waiting for its children to return.
Migration has emptied our villages and left the hills in a quiet ache. No matter how bright the city lights shine, they can never match the warmth of your own doorstep.
It is time to look beyond the scenic views and think about bringing life back to where it belongs.
Because the mountains only breathe as long as their homes do.
