on monday we got to perform in an inter school battle of the bands competition at boronia k-12 college, we performed alongside @r00m2_ and had a great time, a very professional gig that was so fun to perform at, we ended up taking away the ‘best overall band’ certificate out of about 9 or 10 bands which was absolutely amazing, it was also awesome to come back to boronia as we had come the year before, you can see us recreating our iconic pose in the last photo in the collection, go check out our old post to show the difference haha

also thanks to @clair_bear23 for the photos ♥️ taken in Boronia K-12 College by @probablyabc

today we competed in the Lilydale High School Battle of the Bands final, it was an amazing event with some absolutely amazing talent from old and young musicians alike, but over all, we won the competition with our original song ‘home to you’ after 3 years of trying hard and practicing, we finally got a win for our performance, an amazing day and some absolutely amazing contestants too

here’s a couple of thank yous:

yesterday for ANZAC day, we all played in front of one of the biggest audiences we have ever played in front of, 1400 people watched us play a couple songs as tribute to fallen soldiers, it was a big gig and a nice calm atmosphere, we’re glad we got to do it. big thanks to lilydale high school for letting us play taken in Lilydale High School by @probablyabc

today we did our first solo gig that we organised ourselves, we were very lucky to be able to play in a nice weathered day with a decent crowd of strangers and passers by, as well as friends and family, it was awesome to be able to play on our own and here are some professional photos from the day, thanks again to @adamcooper1977 for these! taken in Healesville, Victoria by @probablyabc

today we played a late night outdoor gig with family and friends, it was a nice cool night with a bunch of different performances from sisters, brothers, mothers and even fathers, we opened and then it was an open mic for anyone who wanted to sing or play by @probablyabc

earlier this year, we got the opportunity to go to a larger scale battle of the bands at boronia K-12 college, we were “roadies” on this trip and helped support our year 12 band and rock band perform to try and win the competition, our school won lots of awards and hopefully we will be able to participate in next years competition taken in Boronia K-12 College by @probablyabc

last weekend we got the opportunity to write a song with professional producers, we entered the competition by adding one of our original songs to a form and giving information on our band, then submitting it to @apraamcos and @gosongmakers but there were also a bunch of other artists that did the project with us. we had two days in the studio, the first, we spent writing the song and performing our piece at the end of the day, then on the second day, we had two hours to produce the song through Logic with @seetali_mack by recording guitar and vocals straight through an interface, and using a drum machine to sound as on-beat as possible, we spent a while talking to some of the artists there and then had a listening party, where we heard the four other songs produced, and they all sounded amazing. we had a great time and learned a lot about production and song writing, which we had not learned about before taken in The Channel by @probablyabc
