True Beauty is a South Korean television series starring Moon Ka-young, Cha Eun-woo, Hwang In-youp and Park Yoo-na. Based on the webtoon of the same title by Yaongyi, it centers on a high school girl who, after being bullied and discriminated against because of being perceived as ugly, masters the art of makeup to transform herself into a gorgeous "goddess". It aired on tvN from December 9, 2020 to February 4, 2021 every Wednesday and Thursday at 22:30 (KST). It was named the best Korean drama of 2021 by Forbes.

Lim Ju-kyung is a high school girl who has always struggled with her appearance and been bullied for it. After discovering the power of makeup, she transforms herself into a girl admired for her beauty and transfers to a new school, determined to start over and never let anyone see her bare face. There, she meets Lee Su-ho, a popular but emotionally guarded boy who recognizes her without makeup, and Han Seo-jun, a rebellious boy with a softer side and a complicated past. As Ju-kyung navigates friendship, first love, jealousy, misunderstandings, and the pressure of keeping her secret, she discovers that both boys have their own wounds and insecurities. What begins as a story about hiding behind makeup slowly becomes a journey of self-acceptance, healing, and learning to love herself beyond appearances. Between a complicated love triangle, unexpected friendships, and the struggles of growing up, Ju-kyung learns that true beauty isn't about looking perfect—it's about being loved for who you really are.

it's been 3 years and there's still no better chemistry than theirs🛐

sc: wookscenes

It is a lighthearted romantic comedy that blends workplace drama with classic mistaken-identity tropes. The story follows Shin Ha-ri, a hardworking food researcher who agrees to go on a blind date in place of her wealthy best friend, Jin Young-seo. Her goal is simple: act outrageous enough to scare the suitor away. However, things take an unexpected turn when her date turns out to be Kang Tae-moo, the handsome and strict CEO of her company.
Unaware of Ha-ri’s true identity, Tae-moo decides to marry her to avoid further blind dates arranged by his grandfather. Caught in a complicated situation, Ha-ri continues pretending to be her friend while also hiding her real identity as an employee. This leads to a series of humorous misunderstandings, secret encounters, and growing tension between her professional and personal life.
As the story unfolds, Tae-moo begins to develop genuine feelings for Ha-ri, not knowing who she truly is. Meanwhile, a parallel love story blooms between Young-seo and Tae-moo’s charming secretary, Cha Sung-hoon, adding more depth and sweetness to the narrative.
Filled with comedic moments, heartfelt emotions, and engaging chemistry between the characters, “Business Proposal” explores themes of love, identity, and honesty. It highlights how unexpected relationships can change lives, all while keeping viewers entertained with its fast-paced and feel-good storytelling.
