This is a crazy post that I never thought I would make but God is good! When I started track as a junior I never thought I would love the sport as much as I did. But after switching from distance to the 4x1, I realized I wanted to take my highschool career to college. Junior season was tough, and halfway through the season I was taken off the 4x1 due to my inexperience, but by the end of the season I made my way back on. Then after the season ended, I got in a car accident that fractured my ankle, putting me in a boot for eight months and all of my senior preseason. After my boot was taken off I immediately jumped back on the team and started the beginning of my season as a 400m and 4x4 runner. Halfway through the season I ran my first 100m of the season and got a PR. By the end of the season, I got to run with my 4x1 team and together we broke our schools record. Sadly, I missed the deadlines to run for college because of my ankle injury, so I didn’t run my freshman year of college. But God always has a plan and now I’m happy to say I’m officially committed to run for Young Harris College! I’m so excited and blessed for this next chapter! I want to thank my coaches; Coach Gina for seeing my potential and allowing me to sprint with her sprinters even though I was a distance runner, and Coach GB and Higgins for helping me with extra work off the track. As well as Coach Logan for allowing me to join his team. I would also like to thank my parents who supported me throughout my highschool seasons and motivated me through all the ups and downs, and my grandparents who helped me find YH college. I would also like to thank all my friends/teammates who also motivated me. Last and most importantly God who gave me the strength to push past the challenges and make it this far into my journey. With Him we can do all things. Isaiah 40:31 by @proctorrr

Late first season post: six second PR in the 400m, two second PR in the 200m, and ran my highschool PR in the 100m even with no 100m training. Ran the 4x4 and 4x1 and even broke the school 4x1 record with my team. Also had the blessing of making it to both indoor and outdoor conference in the 400m. All around a good first season even with running on a stress fracture. Ready to get more PR’s this season. taken in Young Harris College by @proctorrr
