A two dollar vest inspired this one of two journals.
I used GloriasGreetingsCA-Etsy beautiful floral papers
"Spring Meadow" for the signature cover pages.
The generous- Friday Freebie from Hithernyonstudio adorned Glorias beautiful papers.

I love how each of these turned out!

A two dollar thrift find of a toddlers vest started the inspiration for two journals.
I used some of my favorite digital papers and vintage ledger papers to fill this one up.

I love how each one tuned out.
I think #2 might be my favorite by a whisker.
Do you have a favorite?
I would love to know!

In the junk journalers world we get what a journal is and what it can be used for but outside the community will people get it and like it?
I tend to overthink this when I make a journal for someone.
However my Grandma- Aka 'Tiny G' is my go to inspector when I finish a project. I take it to her and she slowly pours over the book and notices every piece of ribbon, button and pretty digital.
She also reminds me AGAIN that she had lots of lace and buttons if I want any more.
I finally made a travelers style notebook for her. Garden themed because other than life, god and family there is nothing she loves more than to be in the garden.

Cover was printed on canvas paper- (dont get me started on the hassle that is!)
I used some prints from the digital collage club and RavenVintage

I didn't like this project till near the end. I guess its hard for something to be good enough when they are your biggest fan!

Had to share this amazing place we came across in Quebec. While traveling through the province we stopped at antique stores along our way.
This location was 15 minutes off route but the reviews were promising.
Let me tell you, it did not disappoint. The only draw back was we didnt have enough time to do this place justice.
We will go back!
Lauraine, the lady who took this amazing place over after her parents is a delight!
The videos here do not in anyway do this place justice.
The collections of everything of old are crazy!
It feels like being in a mercantile museum.
Two large barns and a loft full of delights.
If you love antiquing put this on your bucket list!

I have been finding for the busy summer months crafting is limited to some creations at night on the TV tray. I look for ideas and collect a few simple supplies during the week and put them in a box lid on my tv tray. I was inspired by a post from: @journalcreationsbyvon
Thank-you for sharing your talents with us!
I am loving mass making these!
And of course crafty.by.toni has been singing the banner praises- so...ok!
I will jump on the 'banner' wagon :)

I stumbled across a free digital of jumbo whale tabs while watching a journal flipthrough on Von'sJournal Creations.
I have been making some jumbo tab clusters with the free digital while watching the telly at night with the family.
They will be a fantastic addition to any journal page!

For another detailed tutorial or more inspiration head over to crafty.by.toni
YouTube
There are several awesome step by step videos
She also has a great jumbo tabs digital

And I even found a lovely lady with a YouTube channel called Megs Lace and Paper Alchemy
She has a 1000 subscriber digitalgiveaway that has some beautiful tags and small sized tabs.
You just download the file and print it.

Free Tag digital is from Jenniferbeebeart-kofi

Beautiful butterfly digitals are from GloriasGreetingCA-Etsy

There are so many talented and generous junk journalers out there!!
