August 11, 2026, I graduated from Florida Atlantic University….

In 2022, I toured FAU just for fun, never knowing that one simple tour would lead me to a place I would eventually call home for the next four years. Having known Orlando for the majority of my life, I never imagined that coming to South Florida would allow me to create a new definition of home. Not just a place I lived, but an intentional home. A home I chose, built, and grew into. Somewhere that became mine in ways I never expected.

As I close this chapter, I can truly say that these four years have been some of the most character developing and life refining years of my life. FAU gave me the space to fall, learn, grow, and pick myself back up over and over again, always with grace. There are moments from these four years that I would never trade for a lifetime, and memories that will stay with me forever.

FAU also gave me the opportunity to meet some of the most special people along the way. The relationships and connections I made feel like they could only have been orchestrated by God. Somehow, everything and everyone fit together like puzzle pieces, and I am forever grateful for the people who became such an important part of my journey.

I carry every part of my story with me…where I’ve come from, the people who raised me, the culture that shaped me, and the home I intentionally created for myself here in South Florida.

Thank you, FAU, for giving me the best four years. Thank you for the lessons, the memories, the people, the growth, and for becoming a place I will forever call home.

Today, I am beyond proud to say that I am an alumna of @floridaatlantic , a first generation college student at that!

Forever an Owl. 🦉❤️💙
