Some people find their path in this industry. He founded his. 👀
Meet @connor_strange1 founder of Connor Strange Tech, working across live events, TV and broadcast.

It started with theatre: he fell in love with everything happening backstage, and by January 2020 had founded his own company to chase it properly. Since then, he’s freelanced with the vision team at @bbccymruwales worked the @sixnationsrugby, and covered tech rehearsals for the 2026 Welsh Parliament Elections on S4C.

In 2025, Connor won Live Event Production Newcomer of the Year at the Breakthrough Talent Awards.

His advice to anyone starting out: “Stay curious, and never underestimate the value of every opportunity. This industry is built on relationships, be reliable, work hard and treat everyone with respect.”
Feeling inspired? Or just starting out in your production career? This could be the thing that skyrockets it.

Entries for the 2026 Breakthrough Talent Awards close 30th September nominate yourself today (link in bio).
