Desk structure is now functional! It's almost everything i wanted. It fits together and comes apart easily with the proprietary cam lock system, the top shelf is very strong and can take a lot of weight, and the cantilever section is ridgid enough to hold up a monitor without sagging too much.

Unfortunately the cantilever section seems to have developed a warp which makes the sag look worse than it is. It is also not as ridgid and strong as i would have liked, and i will probably remake it at some point with better tolerances, more glue, and plywood stringers instead of a 100% cardboard stringer lattice. Maybe look into pre-tensioning it?

It does shake when the 3D printer is running, but it's not too bad. Once i add the cross brace cables between the pillars, some of the shaking should be alleviated.

Right now, there is nothing holding the structure down, so I am using a large sledgehammer as a counterweight to the monitor. by @productpuffy

Remaking this project from high school that burned in the LA fires... it was a key for my project car, an EV-swapped 1984 300zx, that contained a micro hard drive with a visible platter and read mech that communicated with the car's central computer via a magnetic pogo pin USB connection.

Now it will be produced out of Formlabs Tough resin and will feature more precise tolerances, higher durability, and more beautiful aesthetics.

I am hoping that it can be used in the same method for my upcoming car purchase, hopefully a 1986-1989 Toyota Soarer from japan. It shares the same late 80s cyber futuristic vibe that I get from the car, with its digital dash and central CRT visual computer system.

The last slide shows a recent prototype print in clear resin that i accidentally broke by @productpuffy

First shelf core is finished! it came out almost as good as what I would see as perfect. it's level to the floor, it's light and very ridgid in the cantilever part, and the tolerances were decent.

I did neglect a part of the cantilever zone when I was putting the lattice together, as there is a high zone towards the center of it. No idea how this happened, as there were so many cinder blocks on it, but it's ok. I will either run it through a planer or just deal with it.

Working on the posts now, and i seem to have figured out the big kinks in the process from the first try that was incredibly warped and fucked up... by @productpuffy

This little component of my desk organizer project (in progress) is so pretty up close

Maybe I should sand the face of it? i was going for a more diffused look....
