Year thirty of being a sports parent. Here are five things I no longer worry about that used to keep me up at night. Whether they will make the team they want. What the other parents think of how I am parenting at the game. Whether they are practicing enough on their own. Whether they will love the sport at twenty the way they love it at twelve. Whether I am giving each of them exactly equal everything. What you stop worrying about is just as important as what you start paying attention to. Year thirty taught me this: the parents who burn out are the ones who tried to control all of it. The parents who last are the ones who learned what to let go.

One thing you can do today: write down one thing you have been worrying about as a sports parent that you are ready to stop carrying into this season. by @proemerdds

With your tender heart that has grown into a lion heart, you taught me that things don't have to be just so. We can think and be outside the box. Thankful for and love you very much.
