Learn Portuguese through this beautiful song! I think that music is such an amazing way to learn a language -- it doesn't simply teach you pronouciation and vocabulary, but it also guides you through a new way to see the world, a new culture. Samba is my favourite music genre and I decided to share this beautiful song I love to sing with my friends at the rodas de samba in Rio. This amazing word comes from the language quicongo (kikongo) from Africa (currently, Angola and Congo). It's one of my favourite words ♥️ you can also call your loved ones by "dengo", or "dengoso/a"
...and know this song is stuck in my head! To precisando de dengo, não vê? 😂

Did you already know chorinho???
By the way, the song used here is "tico-tico no fubá", by zequinha de abreu; the painting used in the background is "Chorinho" (1942) by Candido Portinari ♥️
